DESCRIPTION
Starjump Enterprises is a medium sized service company, which is aimed at providing, shipping and securing goods for various clients. The other aspects include investing in existing companies, pursuing entrepreneurial opportunities, and engaging in 'free trading' (read: smuggling). Privately funded by several key investors, but overseen and operated by Chance Bonaventure, the company operates largely by getting involved with other businesses and turning profit from their profits. The real purpose of the company is more suited to providing both the Smuggler's Alliance and the Outer Rim Coalition avenues to engage in both legal and less legal business practices, while maintaining a legitimate shipping and acquisitions company to the public.
Under the careful and meticulous control of Chance Bonaventure, it is very difficult to prove the business operates in the smuggling sector, without thorough examination of internal records spread across numerous investment and dummy companies.
RATIONALE
Chance Bonaventure has made a small fortune in his years as a successful businessman and smuggler. He has a nose for good investments and has reaped returns to cause envy in others. His skill in assessing, calculating and balancing translates to both legal and less legal enterprises, and he always maintains a close eye on fluctuations in markets and pricing across the galaxy. Part of his success is a willingness to travel further than other companies wouldn't bother with. As such, by using his - and other associate's - private funds, he created a business well suited to providing legal financial gains as a legitimate and privately owned company; but also created well hidden avenues for smuggling and underground dealings, through careful credit laundering via investment companies who remain unaware of financial sources they receive.
For all illegal activities, all costs and finances come from cleaned external - affiliated, but not owned - investment companies, which are unknowingly credit laundered through, which protects Starjump Enterprises from being easily discovered by lawful investigations or attempts at suspected illegal financial scrutiny.
However, within the last several years, there has been a shift in ownership for Starjump Enterprises. A larger mega corporation, GalaxiCorp, saw the potential in acquisition of the smaller company, and bought out the owner. All operations and subsequent dealings, including business partners and investors, were owned - and operated - by GalaxiCorp; and with the transfer, the mega corporation also gained ownership of Starjump Enterprises' subsidiaries and partner agreements.
Chance Bonaventure has since retired to an unknown luxury planet, located in a system he didn't disclose publicly.
