SPECIAL FEATURES
The wreckage of the superweapon known as the Star Forge spent millennia floating within the void of the Rakata Prime star system. It was only after Vanessa Vantai had made the imperative decision to examine the wreckage that a decision had been made to exploit the remains of the ancient superweapon. Thus, mining operations were installed upon the ring of metal orbiting the world formerly known as Rakata Prime, samples being tested of the exotic construct.
Star Forge Metal is comprised of a complex series of alloys, mixed in a way Vanessa was unable to replicate despite hundreds of hours of testing. The material has a relatively standard melting point, comparable to durasteel - in fact, for the most part it appears to be comparable to such a material in durability across the board. Where it differs is in its properties - exposure to the Dark Side for thousands of years has left the metal tainted, festering with corruption even as detritus after the weapon's annihilation. These quantities make the metal perfect for use by Sith - their mild Dark aura wears at a lightsider, while their own darkness is reinvigorated. Already touched by the Dark Side, the metal is also far more susceptible to alchemical techniques than durasteel or other standard alloys. There appears to be nothing else about the metal, other than its taint and its ease of alchemizing, that really makes it differ from standard armor materials.

SPECIAL FEATURES
- Star Forge Metal innately has the taint of the Dark Side upon it.
- More easily alchemized than Durasteel
- The material is easier to alchemize using traditional Dark Side alchemical techniques, and gives a sensation to those Force Sensitive about it that there was once a great darkness within the material - a darkness that is no longer actively present.
- Though the supply is reasonably vast given the wreckage of the Star Forge spans the system, the material is still only found in the Lehon system. Whoever controls the system effectively has control over where the metal is distributed.
