Description:
In the Dathomiri witches' culture, the shaman was an elder witch who was thought to have access to, and influence in, the world of the spirits. They worshipped the nature's balance and interpreted the nature of the dark side of the Force and the Lightside of the Force from a specific religious and cultural point of view.
For the Allyan clan of Singing Mountain, Kytarra Hawk is the current elder in this position. On Dathomir, shamans and seers encountered the Tho Yor in dreams and visions. The Tho Yor sang to them. These shamans were identified by a green inverted triangle marked on their forehead. The early Dathomiri seers were already skilled in animal friendship, as they had successfully domesticated mount rancors millennia before the coming of Allya. Their practices survived and probably merged with Allya's Jedi teachings, which gave birth to the Dathomiri Witches' unique culture.
Because of this, Kytarra acted as a medium between the concrete and the spirit worlds through various means; dreams, visions, summonings and many others. The voices of the spirits echoed whenever the shaman spoke, and challenging a shaman's authority was challenging the spirits of life themselves.
As it was, Kytarra crafted this particular staff to become an artifact of the clan. All talismans and other Force-imbued items belonged to the community and were placed under the authority of the shaman. This particular staff was crafted out of strong Nighthunter bone, which was naturally resistant to lightsabers. Carved and decorated with feathers, semi-precious beads of native amber, Blackwing, Permafrost, and Force crystals, it was imbued and produced along with spirit ichor.
This staff served several purposes. It was a focus for Kytarra, allowing a greater ease of access to call upon the Ur-Spirts of the Spiritual Realm, including the Twin Deities as a conduit for the spirit themselves. It also allows Kytarra to take the shape of another Ur-Spirit Kytarra is serving as a conduit of. As shamans are already conduits for the Ur-Spirits. This merely allows the Shaman to enhance her power, strength, and connection as a focus through native Dathomir Force crystals and the channeling of the Ur-Spirit in question.
