Aeon grew up in a metropolis. His family could be classified as lower middle-class. Their income was never spectacular, but they had enough to get by. The Hazard home quickly became a little warzone of its own, with Aeon's parents having four sons to manage. Aeon was the second oldest. Aeon's mother worked as a servant to one of the ruling families on his home planet. His father is a factory worked at one of its many shipwrights. Aeon, like most of his brothers, showed a great interest and aptitude for sports. His grades in school usually ranged from average to poor. His mother always used to say that he'd get top grades if he focused on his school work and didn't let himself get distracted by competitions and training.
The Hazard family's firstborn joined their father in working at the shipwright. Aeon and his younger brother, Rob, both became soldiers in the Imperial army. Aeon got drawn in by a recruiting officer who showed up at his school, and dragged his brother with him to seek out representatives of the army at their office downtown. They enlisted together. Though their youngest brother also wanted to go with them, he was at the time much too young.
The family later suffered a tragedy, when their third born son, Rob, died in service of the Empire. This sent Aeon's father back into his gambling habit, now also combined with an unhealthy dose of alcohol. The loss struck Aeon hard, especially since it was because of him that Rob had joined the army in the first place. He tried to deal with the grief in his own way, and push it to the back of his mind.
Whenever he can, Aeon sends his salaries back to his family. He still keeps in touch with his youngest brother from time to time, but they are not particularly close. Aeon doesn't speak with his older brother at all. He never supported his younger brothers' decision to join the army, and he still holds a grudge towards Aeon for the death of Rob.
Coming out of the hard and rigorous training of the Imperial military academy, Aeon found his place in the 607th Legion. He started his service as a private in the 4th platoon of Flux Company.
