[SIZE=12pt]SPECTRE is the unified Special Operations branch of the Galactic Alliance. Taking the best of the best from all corners of the Alliance military, SPECTRE was founded with the goal of ensuring the peace and stability the Galactic Alliance brings to the galaxy does not disappear in the chaos of war. [SIZE=12pt]Although the Galactic Alliance has had Special Operations divisions since its inception, each division conducted operations largely independent of each other. Collaborative operations were conducted, but the assumption was that each would oversee their own personal and missions as they saw fit.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=12pt]With the rise of the First Order, a resurgent Sith Empire, and a rising Galactic Empire, it was clear that the Galactic Alliance would need a more unified effort to safeguard the homefront and secure peace throughout the galaxy. Various proposals and suggestions were put forward, but it was Supreme Commander Nemo Ven that suggested that select elements from each portion of the military would be put together under a unified division to conduct operations together.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=12pt]Organization[/SIZE]
[SIZE=12pt]Although each division element within SPECTRE remains nominally part of their parent branch of the military, it is understood that SPECTRE has final say on all matters pertaining to its personnel and battlefield operations. In effect, SPECTRE is the fifth branch of the Galactic Alliance military. [/SIZE]
[SIZE=12pt]A typical operation will be conducted using elements of each division within SPECTRE; Orbital support, insertion, and system-to-system transport will be taken care of by elements of the Alliance Fifth Expeditionary Fleet while atmospheric transport and close air support will be provided by Rogue or Wraith Squadrons. On the ground, Pathfinders will establish recon intelligence gathering, base site surveillance, and hostile covert infiltration. Once things get hot, the Praetors step in with specialized training in multiple ranges and methods of combat, asset denial and sabotage, and interrogation.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=12pt]SPECTRE works to make operations possible, both foreign and domestic, to make sure that the Galactic Alliance continues to bring peace and stability to the galaxy. In order to ensure that no operation results in more damage to the Galactic Alliance, any member of the Triumverate may terminate an operation they feel is a potential threat to the Galactic Alliance. The other two members may overrule this termination, but a full inquery will be launched at the conclusion of the operation to evaluate the outcome. [/SIZE]
[SIZE=12pt]Rank[/SIZE]
[SIZE=12pt]Rank within SPECTRE is earned based on operational history within the organization itself. Although rank earned outside of SPECTRE is retained, within SPECTRE itself each new personnel enters with a vocational rank of S1, signifying the lowest rung of SPECTRE hierarchy. Even from the bottom rung, acceptance into SPECTRE is a monumental career achievement for most within the Alliance and carries with it a certain measure of respect and command. S1 through S4 are so-called Field Ranks, as they are the personnel who conduct the normal operations. S5 and S6 are the administrative ranks within SPECTRE; they construct operations based on gathered intel, coordinate all elements within SPECTRE, and provide critical support for field operations. On rare occasions, missions of such vital importance require one of these personnel to personally lead the operation.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=12pt]As each member upon joining SPECTRE will have already completed Basic and Advanced Training and comes from special forces, training is conducted on an as-needed basis and is overseen in-house.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=12pt]Rather that place the SPECTRE command on any single planet, it was decided that SPECTRE would be a mobile command. Assigned to the [/SIZE][SIZE=12pt]Leviathan[/SIZE][SIZE=12pt], the largest ship within the Galactic Alliance after the fall of the [/SIZE][SIZE=12pt]Itsuhusk[/SIZE][SIZE=12pt], SPECTRE conducts all training and operations from the mobile command center. With the Galactic Alliance Fifth Expeditionary Fleet providing cover and escort, most operatives are carried to their operational theaters onboard smaller vessels.[/SIZE]
