After developing his planned merc outfits underslung scattergun he decided that a launcher capable of launching more explosive munitions was needed. To this point he began to develop the design for the launcher and finally settled on a single shot 40mm munitions launcher that could deliver more than just explosives.
Deciding on the projectile was even easier than with the scattergun, due in most part because the 40x46mm grenade shell is the only real grenade launcher shell on the galactic market. The munitions launcher can also be used one-handed, though the extreme recoil of the launcher makes this illadvised.
Like all other weapons he designs Noah's next step was to chose the materials used in the design. For the launcher he originally decided to only use the usual Titanium-Alusteel alloy. This served to give the launcher good durability yet keep the weight down as much as possible. At the final design phase though he decided to include the usual chromium lining to decrease wear and tear.
Again Noah put the launcher through a battery of tests, even more so than other weapons due to the explosive nature of the weapon. After several thousand shells through the launcher and satisfied with the results Noah shelved the weapons for later use.
