How about we do something more like a Reptile like Dog? I mean it could be cold blooded and scaley but be more like a big dog you could ride into battle? It could be hyper aggressive and ferocious but also extremely loyal to its master.

Haha, naw I was thinking its tail could indeed be spiked but would have more of a flesh eating solvent or whatever laced into it, it wouldn't be acid but also would be incurable so the flesh rots of the bone within time. Oh and the eyes are like riddicks eyes in the movies, it can see the exact same way and such.
