    The island nation of Pali is one of many major trading hubs located in the Asgereon Sea. Pali contols a substantial amount of small islands around the isle of Pali, which has been home to countless shipwrecks and likewise, sunken troves of treasures and lost secrets of years past. The inhabitants of the island scour the depths of the shallows surrounding Pali, pulling out chests laden with gold, some of it water-damaged of course. Though, merchants don't mind the green water damage or growing coral and algae on the sunken golden coins of once great and possibly fallen island nations. All the merchants want are ancient trinkets to boast to their fellow merchants about, something they do very easily. The island of Pali has also become a trove for shark meat and shark skin trinkets and materials. Anything carved from a shark is a valuable resource, especially those of the black-finned and white-tailed great sharks of the Asgereon. This had led to the nation of Pali adopting a strict and boastful trading regime ruled by the wealthy merchant class.
  • With all of their wealth, the elite merchant class, or the Elit Emporu, hired master engineers, sculptures, and artists to begin work on a massive statue which would stand as a beacon on the highest cliff, on the highest mountain, of the island of Pali. Twenty years after construction began, the statue was completed with a height of one hundred and twelve feet. It was the statue of Polemos, the God of Prophecy and Gifts. The Elit Emporu dedicated the statue to Polemos because of the good tidings he gave them in their vast amount of wealth that they had accumulated.

GOVERNMENT & ECONOMY
  • Government(s):
    The world of Spartii is not controlled by one singular governmental body. Rather, it consists of multiple city states ranging in size of control from a small island 'nation,' to a large governmental organization that hold sway over a multitude of both small and large islands. All of these city states have rather unique and distinctive government structures which help to set them apart from one another. Though, a few city states do share remarkably similar government structures which hint at inspiration from city state neighbors for a governmental organization structure or a reorganization of a nation's government.
    Absolute Monarchy
  • Limited Monarchy
  • Dictatorship
  • Theocracy
  • Oligarchy
  • Federal Republic
