Spamming Dwarven Bows...Wait...This Isn't Skyrim!!!

It had been too long since the Jedi Master, known as Josiah Denko, had graced the hallowed halls of the Sanctum that he once called home. Located on Chroma Zed, only a stone's throw away from the estate that his fiancee' and their daughter resided within, the Sanctum was a place of learning and training for the Templar Order: a sect that Josiah was once intimately tied to. Though his days of leadership within the Order had passed, he still considered himself apart of the midst; and was considered a Templar Master by extension by the Order at large. As such, he was more than welcome within the Sanctum and found himself navigating the halls almost aimlessly for several minutes. His journey about the Sanctum brought him into contact with a variety of individuals whose brief conversations informed him of some newer faces within the Templars.

Most notably @[member="Krest"] and @[member="Hayato"], a duo of individuals with a knack for lightsaber combat and a preference for physical swords. This information caused Josiah to think back on the last, and only, time that he had encountered a physical sword: the battle of Barab I...and the thought alone sparked a vast intrigue. Against his own lightsaber skills, the former Sith Empress stood toe-to-toe with him utilizing a physical blade; and its crossguard proved one helluva threat on the field of battle. That alone was enough motivation for the Jedi to aspire to teach and create all at the same time; and so Josiah challenged himself to test his abilities to their apex whilst guiding these two souls in a new technique. Known as the Art of the Small, it was a tactic that could be utilized to minimize one's presence in the Force; but also could be used to manipulate objects at a molecular level.

Though Josiah had only used to first application of Art of the Small over the course of his years utilizing it, he figured that it would not be beyond his realm of expertise to examine bars of metal through this technique and adjust them to his specifications. As such, the Jedi sent for the two individuals and awaited them in a single training room; seeing fit to procure three bars of Desh-Terenthium whilst waiting. These bars would be manipulated under Josiah's guidance and result in the main ingredient to the three of their swords: a gift from Master to Knight. And so, seated upon one of the three cushions strewn about the space, Josiah awaited their arrival.

Krest set his hands behind his head. He was attempting to learn how to force imbue a blade for quite some time, to make his own physical sword. It was a long and laborious process, but one he wanted to learn.

But now there was a new thing to learn. Art of the Small. To his knowledge it was only a way to hide his presence, but to manipulate atoms.. Krest stepped hurriedly into the room, only to see @[member="Josiah Denko"] sitting on a pillow. He rubbed the back of his neck, blinking. "Josiah right? We startin now or later?" The Zabrak was actually impatient. He wanted his physical sword as soon as possible.

Hayato was on his way towards the location he had been summoned to. This was now the second time he had been summoned by a Jedi master, though the last time was during his time as a Padawan, so he had to attend, this time he was coming because he wanted to. The reason for that being that he would learn how to craft real swords by utilizing the Force and his own strength. He had been wanting to create his own sword for quite some time now. He had always figured that it would become something to express himself with, something to make him stand out among the crowds of generic Lightsaber-using Force Users. It would also serve many functions. For instance it could be used for Lightsaber dueling, or slicing stuff, or actually knocking people out with a dull side of the blade, but enough about the swords, let's get back to the important stuff.

Hayato entered the room right after Krest did. He was glad to see his friend again. After their duel he would surely try to improve himself, just like Hayato was trying to. This was pretty obvious, since he was here to learn about the Art of the Small, just like Hayato was. He sat down on a cushion, legs crossed and his hands resting on his legs. ''Patience is a virtue, my friend.'' He said in response to the Zabrak's statement, then he turned his attention towards Josiah, listening and watching closely, while awaiting the Master's response.

@Krest @Josiah Denko

"We'll be starting immediately." responded the Jedi Master. A warm smile formed upon his lips as the Knights took their respective seats before him and he reached out, claiming a bar of Desh-Terethium in each hand. He then laid the bars in the laps of each Knight and did the same for the third bar upon his own lap. Josiah then gestured his hand to the Templar Armor he wore, in particular his shoulder plate, saying. "Art of the Small has a variety of uses. First amongst these is the minimalization of one's presence in the Force to microscopic levels; so small that it would require an elite in Sensing to detect you. Second amongst these is making adjustments to objects at a molecular level."

Today, we will be examining the Phrik in my Templar Armor and then will use its molecular structure as a guide to augment and adjust these bars of Desh-Terenthium before you. Through this, our aim is to make them just as durable as the physical swords wielded by the ancient Je'daii and the Sith. They will be strong enough to withstand the blows of lightsabers. Reflective enough to deflect blaster bolts and lasers. Brimming with the Light Side of the Force...and they will respond to your force signature alone, making the resulting weapons highly conductive to your force energies."

"Now then, in order to proceed, I'll need you to link your minds telepathically to mine and I shall guide you through the process. Understood?"

@[member="Hayato"], @[member="Krest"].

Krest blinks slowly. Linking minds telepathically..? That as a new one. He nods, scratching his chin. "Yeah, sure. Just.. How do we do that?" He wasn't one who went into peoples minds, so he really had no idea how to do so. Hopefully @[member="Hayato"] did. Though @[member="Josiah Denko"] certainly would.

Well, if it works it works..

Hayato was ready to work on the piece of metal they had been handed. He had listened to Josiah's speech closely. He was curious how that would turn out. Them making Sith Swords that are supposed to be Jedi Swords? He would need some more elaboration on that, though he understood the gist of it. Look at things really close, then alter them on a molecular level. That sounded ... easy. But for now they had to do something telepathic. Apparently they had to join their minds to do that. He had some experience with Telepathy, but he didn't know anything about joining minds. ''So , how are we supposed to join minds, Master Denko?'' He said with his usual calm demeanor.

@Krest @Josiah Denko

It came as an immense surprise to the Jedi to learn that these individuals, both excellent swordsmen in their own right, had not learned the basics of telepathy. For it was through this elementary art that the linking of their minds could be accomplished. However, this was a simple hurdle to overcome, as Josiah could easily compensate. "I see." he said, stroking his goatee ever so slightly. "Well, in that case, simply don't 'flinch' when you hear my voice sounding in your head. Don't kick me out of your mind, embrace my presence and listen to what I have to say. Afterwards, pay attention and let the Force flow through you. Basic meditation, y'know?" With that said, the Master opened himself to the ebb and flow of the Force before reaching out telepathically. His consiousness brushed against the minds of the two swordsmen before him and he asked aloud mentally: "Can you hear me? Testing, testing, helloooo? If you can hear me, then the next step is to synchronize your mind's eyes with mine. Focus on my voice until you can literally see what I'm seeing in your heads, okay?"

@[member="Krest"], @[member="Hayato"].

Krest blinks slow. He heard @[member="Josiah Denko"] in his head, but at least he had a warning. He closed his eyes, focusing on the voice. His mentally reached out for the Master, focused only on that. "Yeah, I got ya." He was of course only speaking with his mind. Basic stuff, basic stuff.

After hearing what Josiah had told them, he closed his eyes and opened himself to the Force. He heard something, someone. It sounded like Josiah Denko, but he wasn't sure, because the voice was quiet and not very understandable. Then after he meditated for a couple of moments and the voice became more clear. It was indeed Josiah Denko. The beard stroking, awesome things teaching Master who was part of the Jedi Order. -I can hear you clearly, Master Denko.- He replied.

@Krest @Josiah Denko

"Excellent." said the Jedi. Now that the mental connection had been established, Josiah then shifted the focus of his mind's eye upon the shoulder plate of his Templar Armor. From where they sat, the Knights should then be able to clearly see the plate in the same manner as he; as if they were literally looking through his own eyes. "To begin, we'll first need to initiate Art of the Small." he said, lacing his fingertips together before concentrating. "In order to accomplish this, you must take your aura in the Force...and condense it. Imagine it as a lump of clay that you are squeezing together in your hands, making the resulting ball smaller and smaller and smaller. Continue doing this until your force presence is miniscule, like so." The Jedi then inhaled a breath and practiced what he preached. Slowly and methodically, so that his student's might clearly visualize the process, Josiah commenced the minimalization of his force aura. His made it smaller and smaller until it was miniscule...so miniscule that it was microscopic.

"Alright, now you try. You probably won't be able to get it as small on the first try but that's perfectly fine. Practice makes perfect. Get your signature as small as possible and then we will move on to the next step."

@[member="Krest"], @[member="Hayato"].

Krest took a deep breath, focusing on his presence. Similar to how @[member="Josiah Denko"] described it he actually started to move his hand as if he was rolling clay in his fingers, slowly shrinking it. It took some time, but he was actually able to shrink it down to almost nothing. Not microscopic, but tiny. Very tiny.

Hayato delved deeper into the Force. He tried to imagine exactly what Josiah had told them to do. He concentrated hard on the metal and did as the Master had instructed. He shrunk it, tinier, tinier, tinier and tinier until it was even smaller than a pebble. He was satisfied with his first attempted. He then proceeded to stroke his still-growing beard and say. ''By Dista's Beard. This really worked!''

"Excellent! You two are doing really good!" said the Jedi. He was surprised that their force signatures all but vanished from his perception after giving them instruction in the Art; and now that they had succeeded the time had come for the "fun" part. Shifting his mind's eye over to his shoulder plate, Josiah then began to "zoom" in on the metal. They, being linked to his mind, would then see the enlargement of the plate until they had the sort of view of the metal that could only come forth from study under a microscope. "Alright, do you see how the molecules of the Phrik plate are arranged?" he said, pointing out the lattice pattern of the metal, "Our goal is to take that pattern and replicate it within the metal bars as best as we can to start. Then we'll set about the other changes."

With that said, Josiah wrapped his fingers about his bar of Desh-Terenthium alloy and began to zoom in on it through his mind's eye as well. By looking back and forth between the two, Josiah was able to recognize the differences in molecular structure and then began to move about the molecules in the metal bar to roughly match that of the Phrik. Through this, the bar would adopt the most vital pair of properties that could be found in the plate: lightsaber resistance and lightness of weight. To somewhat match the entire bar to the plate of Phrik that he wore was daunting work, even for him, and consisted of several minutes of silence. The concentration on his part was enormous as well, so much so that beads of sweat formed upon his brow. However, when it was all said and done, the Jedi leaned back and gazed upon his work with satisfaction.

Aesthetically, the bar did not look any different, but the changes were there. He had not created Phrik out of Desh-Terenthium of course, but had molecularly treated the metal to closely resemble its atomic structure through art of the small. Now that his bar was almost complete, Josiah looked to his two students with a smile. "Alright, how'd yours turn out?"

@[member="Hayato"], @[member="Krest"]

Krest focused on @[member="Josiah Denko"], mostly on what he was seeing. Shifting between what Josiah saw and his own vision Krest went to replicate the process. He remained quiet for a very long time, his eyebrows down in deep concentration. Changing the structure was hard enough, but he had to constantly do it. The process took Krest almost an hour. By the end of it the Knight was exhausted, but the task was done. The metal was changed to be similar. Krest plops back, his arms spread out wide around him, his chest panting.

Hayato concentrated closely on what the Jedi was saying. He wanted to follow his steps as closely as he could. He wanted to get a really awesome sword and he was growing tired of the impatience. He delved back into a deep meditative state to open up his connection to the Force again. To make him stronger in the Force. He then focused on the piece of metal and started changing the structure. It took him a long time as well, but he maintained his posture the whole time. He was completely motionless the whole time, though his eyebrow moved every now and then, revealing a look of annoyance as he failed to alter the structure again and again, though he did finally succeed after about an hour of trying. He kept his posture and said ''This was one of the hardest things I have ever done. I'm sorry it took me so long, but now I am done. We may move on now.'' Then he just slumped backwards and started breathing heavily. He was completely exhausted.

Although it had taken the Jedi only several minutes to accomplish the task, the Knights before him took approximately an hour each to finish the adjustment of the metal. Though mentally taxing, especially for novices of the art, they had both surpassed Josiah's expectations by leagues; and judging from the looks on their faces they had done a successful job! Now was the time to move on to the next part of the process, which revolved around reversing the magnetic polarity. Through this, the blade would gain the ability to reflect blaster bolts and, when coupled with a flawless polish and shine, the resulting weapon would be able to reflect laser beams as well. This process was exceptionally easier than the altering of the bar molecule by molecule, and so Josiah began instructing once more.

"You both are doing exceptionally well and we are almost finished! Two more steps and the bars will be ready to take to a swordsmith. In this step, our goal is to reverse the magnetic polarity of the blade, which is a much easier task than the previous one. Simply put, focus upon the metal as a whole until the point where you can feel its magnetic presence. It will take a moment in order to get your sights on it; but once there...the best way to describe this part is the flipping of a sock inside out. Reverse the aura so that the charges are inversed. This will allow the blade to deflect blaster bolts!"

With that said, Josiah returned his attention to the bar and hovered his hands over it. Through his mind's eye, he began to diligently seek the magnetic presence of the bar and, upon finding it, set about reversing its polarity. His mastery in other arts, namely Tutaminis and Electric Judgment, made this an easy task for him to accomplish; as electricity was something he was used to seeing in the Force. For his students? Probably not so much. However, the end result would be the same all around. In a fraction of the time that it took him to adjust the molecular structure of the blade, Josiah accomplished the reversal of the bar's magnetic polarity and exhaled with a smile. Two steps down, one more to go.

"Alright gentlemen, how are we doing?"

@[member="Hayato"], @[member="Krest"]

Krest gritted his teeth. He was able to find the magnetic aura with ease after watching @[member="Josiah Denko"], but the problem was he had no idea how to change it. He knew nothing on lightning, nothing on magnets. Instead, he sat there, probing into Josiah's mind. The man clearly new, so he followed the Jedi's exact steps. It took a while, a lot longer then changing the components of the metals. Day would become deep into the night by the time he was able to figure out. But once he did, he was able to do the task, reversing the magnetic polarity.

Hayato just sat there for a couple of seconds, recovering from his earlier exertion. He then continued to sit up again and reassume the posture he had before. He delved into the Force again, trying to repeat the steps Master Denko had shown him. It wasn't very easy for him, but he was able to do it. After a long span of time during which Hayato had to avoid jumping out in rage at Josiah Denko for demanding the impossible, but afterwards, when Krest was finished, he was as well.

As time moved ever forward, the Jedi could feel the immense effort of the two Knights; in addition to growing frustrations. However, the payoff was well worth it in the end, for after a phenomenal sum of time had passed, they had both managed to match their tutor in terms of reversing the magnetic polarity of the bars. With a smile, Josiah gave a nod of approval before raising his arms above his head, stretching, before lowering them once again. He then began the final leg of their lesson, which was the easiest by far. "Alright gentlemen, we are on the final step; and it is the easiest of the three. Just as you would meditate upon a lightsaber crystal in order to attune it to the Force and yourself, so shall you do with this blade. Be mindful that the weapon that is produced through your efforts will be a literal extension of yourself, so do not attempt to cheat the meditiation into something that I would 'approve' of. If you choose the path of Light, then meditate on the Light; and so on."

"Unlike a lightsaber crystal, however, you will not only 'feel' when the presence of the Force is brimming inside the bar; but see it as well. By my estimation, the bar should have a physical manifestation of the Force's presence flowing perpetually within it once your meditation is complete. It could range from minute 'sparks' to a billowing cloud of 'flame'. Or, it could simply be a color change. Simply put, when the aesthetics change, you've completed the metal once and for all. So, let's get this finished!"

With that said, the Jedi lulled his eyes to a close and inhaled a deep breath. Being that he was a Jedi to the very core, his meditation revolved around the Light, wholly and completely. He beckoned the Light Side of the Force to fall upon him likea mighty tide and then guided it through his outstretched hands to fill the metal with its presence. Seconds rolled into minutes, which flowed into hours. Of course, there was no set time limit on such a feat, but the end result would come when it was ready. Finally, after a small eternity of being a conduit for the light had passed, the bar upon the Jedi's lap began to change. Its surface, formerly a dull gray, brightened immediately to a flawless pearl and was characterized by stray "sparks" of "electricity" born of the Force. This was quite the fitting aesthetic for the "electric eel Jedi" and upon seeing it, he smiled.

"And done...how's it coming gentlemen?"

@[member="Hayato"], @[member="Krest"].

Krest blinked. Out of the three steps, yeah this one was the easiest. He sat cross legged before the metal, closing his eyes. Light or Dark. Once more he had to pick, but once more he chose in between. His form begin to glow a dull purple. He began to attune the metal, placing a hand along it's side. He closes himself off from @[member="Josiah Denko"], focused on himself at his core. This was not something new to him. It took only a matter of minutes before the metal began to glow. A dark purple flame seemed to bleed from the modified steel, signifying his completion.

Krest opened his eyes, removing his hand. "There.."
