Captain Larraq
Capitalist
Rygel Larraq stood in a void-suit and watched the construction machines move past him as they worked to complete one task or another. The suit wasn't necessary where he was standing and the helmet hung loosely from his belt. He stood in the center of the command station of the first Goten-class Space Station ever built. It was the first of three prototype stations being constructed and was nearly completed. The other two were in various stages of construction a few hundred meters below it. The station had already been supplied with the construction machines and droids that would allow it to function as a shipyard and was putting those droids and machines to use as it helped to build the sister stations that would eventually be attached to the first.
This was a project that had been in the runnings for a long time now. What would have otherwise been out of his reach had become tangible by extending an offer to the Southern Systems and their trading hub. [member="Danger Arceneau"] had expressed an immediate interest when Larraq had mentioned a potential secondary design that could utilize the internal space of the massive station as an orbital colony or a trading hub. Others, such as [member="Judah Dashiell"], had expressed an interest in participation for one reason or another after word of the project had begun to spread among the SSB. Others, like @[member="Domino"] had signed on at the promise of long-term contracts for the supply of parts and components to be used in each station.
Others had offered their assistance in the design process or in the supply of other raw materials for one reason or another. Most common was for long-term contracts to provide the parts for each station to be constructed. Less common, was the individual that invested credits or design ideas into the project. These individuals did so under the agreement that a percentage of profits from the sale of each station would be awarded them according to the scale of their contributions.
Whatever their reasons, the number of contributing hands was extensive. And Rygel Larraq was here with most of them as they directed the final hours of the construction process.
