Spa Day

far out, man
The Jedi was less than pleased by the concept of the empath joining them. Jedi could not immediately read minds, that was a common misconception among non-force-sensitives as a whole, but rather, the emotions. And the emotional depths of an empath amplified those around them, especially the deep-seated rage that was within Tracyn. With the removal of Circe's Sith poison, however, Tracyn was back to a more stoic and good-natured personality. He raised a brow at the 'protection' bit. He didn't say anything, but he didn't like being cast as the bodyguard right away. He wondered if the tribe had heard anything about him, being that Endor was in the Outer Rim, and that's where Tracyn had previously operated, making entire syndicates and criminal organizations disappear.

Then again, it was a tribe. He was moreso worried about his present company, and he felt that something was off. He took Meret under his arm, appearing friendly and escort-ish, but leaned into her ear, speaking softly."Be wary, something feels off."He said, leaning away and smiling, observing the entire area, and their present company.

When @[member="Anders Sivas"] arrived, "Malinda" gave a bow to him before being introduced. After it wad done she went through all the important information @[member="Meret Blackmoon"] had mentioned to her, involving the diamonds and all. Hearing that the chief liked blondes she giggled and said "He's got good tastes then." Finally when they'd reached the settlement she stretched from the ride and said "My, my. It's so good to be out of there. I hate being crampt up for so long." She held out her elbow and asked "Will any of you strapping boys escort me?" looking between Anders and @[member="Tracyn Ordo"] before seeing the latter take Meret aside to talk. While she couldn't hear se had a few ideas about what it was they were talking about, and tried to act normal.

Here I thought I'd know my date this evening. I balked and chuckled quietly as Jedi Knight Ordo took @[member="Meret Blackmoon"] away from me. I tapped at Ordo's sensory mind, attempting in my way to figure the man out. No, I can't see what he had for breakfast or even what he's done with his life. All I get is the emotions of the moment and the biggest I feel around here is mistrust. If Meret needed a man that big to protect her tonight, well there's a far more serious situation going on than I can immediately cull from the ether.

"Don't go too far, Meret. I look forward to sharing songs with you, kay?" Wanna get this right. Wanna make it work. I watch her talk to @[member="Tracyn Ordo"] and a wealth of suspicion barks up my tree. @[member="Aela Kellov "]was working hard at belonging in the area, working at getting attention and moving within their little group. Wonder why. "I've got you Malinda." Slinking my arm around her elbow, I lead her onward. This close, my empathic abilities are working on overdrive. If I spend enough time around Malinda I might just start thinking in a symbionic 'we'.

"What's had you cramped up? Where are you from, Melinda." I throw her a smile and lead her away from Tracyn and Meret. "How'd you know my girl there?"

Meret looked at Tracyn “You saved me once today and I fear you may do an encor. Dragco will praise you and try to offer you a job and I will tell him no.” Meret took him arm and started the march toward the dinner.

She turned around to see Anders and Malinda followed their lead. The path was lined with torches as the sun had set. An escort led them to the Chief’s table. She gave her pouch to the Chief. Dragco smiled and received the other guests’ pouches. A fruit paste in which is eaten with your fingers was served first.

The Chief sat at the head of the table; his wife was directly across from him at the other end of the rustic table. Meret and Malinda sat on either sides of Dragco. Anders was next to Malinda and across from Tracyn who was next to Meret.

Meret tested Anders by mentally asking him if he liked the fruit paste. She waited to see if he smiled or frown. If it worked then she had an ace in the hole.

"Would you believe Meret and I ran into each other in the steam room?" she told @[member="Anders Sivas"]. As they walked towards the chiefs table, "Malinda" went on talking about how she was on Endor to vacation with friends and that they were going to be a few days late due to being held up on Naboo. When they were seated Malinda observed everything, seeing where everyone sat, including the chief. She noticed how the chief would often look at her while they ate, making her wink at him once. During the whole time she made conversation with some of the others while waiting for drinks to be served.

Tracyn folded his hands on the table, staring at the various warriors around the table. They knew who he was, and he wondered if the people around the table did. Hero or war criminal of Metalorn, depending on whom you ask. Various opinions, various accounts. Most of them, however true.

"I've already taken enough jobs, Miss Blackmoon."

He said bluntly, turning to face her. There was a menacing persona about Tracyn, a certain aura of doom that accompanied him for evil-doers and florists and Sith alike. He was a living weapon, all he needed was someone to aim him at something and they would typically find themselves in a rather uncomfortable position. Tracyn folded his hands on the table, and quietly, ate a small lick of fruit paste.

He found it bitter.

One of Meret’s closest friend said that she had a talent for attracting unbalanced personalities. She could be alone on a deserted beach and a religious zealot would approach her and try to convert her. Here she was in a very important ceremony and her entourage consisted of Anders a whimsical empathy, Malinda a strong warrior and Tracyn a Jedi with issues. Tribe members passed a fermented drink to the members of the Chief’s table. “ Tracyn I do appreciate you being here and I will reward you for your efforts.” She reached over and touched his hand “Thank you.”

Meret turned to Anders.” Have you made any progress with the pirates? I believe Black Sun may be involved, what are your feelings?” Anders did not respond to her mental question. He must be deep in thought or focused on something in the surrounding area.

Meret passed the drink to Malinda. “It’s got a kick, Malinda do you know anything about pirates? Or Black Sun Syndicate? Keep an eye out. “ The chief got up and gave a squeeze to Malinda’s shoulder. His wife was keeping an eye on him. He walked over to the roasted boar said a chant and cut open the tender carcass. Everyone cheered! Drums accompanied the carving of the meat.

'Tastes like ansari-dates. Are you frightened? There's something wrong.' A mental flicker passed to @[member="Meret Blackmoon"], along with the taste of sympathy and concern - unsettled emotion reigned in this place of plenty. I fidgeted with the lip of my cup, giving Meret a long glance that would seem to anyone else as a purveyor's eye, tasting of the woman as much as I tasted of the fermented hooch the chieftain served.

"Pirates, yes. I'm not hopping to whom. More concerned with the what and why, and that's something I can bite into. Whoever it is, they're not filling me with happy feelings of prosper and plenty. I'll take care of it, Meret. Trust me." I bore into her, eyes not comfortable leaving hers until the intent is exorcised and placed inside her mind. There's something here, and I'll do my best to help. To protect her. . . not that the Lady needed protecting, a right trooper this one. More than I may be. I glance sideways, nudging Melinda's arm.

"Steam room, tagging along, pirates about, kinda adventurous, eh? What happened, felt like an adrenaline rush?" I laugh and toss my hair across my shoulder, keeping her inside my inner purview - trying to learn her mind.

@[member="Tracyn Ordo"] was a place I cannot go. The more I touch to the Jedi the more I feel his hot passions lying in coiled potential for the inevitable battle which next would take his blade. I cannot go to that place. I am unarmed and impressionable, there is a danger to the Knight. Gotta stay as Anders as I can. Not easy with Meret and this 'Melinda' around.

Hearing about pirates and the Black Suns "Malinda" perked up and said "Well I've never run into any myself, but I bet the experience would be so....invigorating. Being captured and held at bay by a group of brutish pirates. Who's know what they'd do with someone like me." She smikred a little and her suggestion before the @[member="Anders Sivas"] nudged her. "I'd be up for an adventure any day. My life is nothing but one boring thing after another. Listening to my father talk about political nonsense. My mother always hounding me to do something other than always hang out with my friends. Ugh! I would love to be in a dangerous situation anytime." She stopped when the chief squeeze her arm, making her wink at him before he ran off to carve the meat. She tried stopping some of the Ewoks for a drink before saying "I'll be back. I'll get some myself."

Meret was happy to hear Anders answer her thoughts. She now knew she could count on him. She nodded to him and made it clear that she was in danger and that the danger was close at hand.

Malinda appeared to be enjoying herself in the tribal environment. Meret wondered if she would get up and dance when the time comes. “ Malinda do you like the drink? It has a kick to it. “

Traycn just sat there with a scowl on his face. He was a Jedi always on duty, always poised to fight or protect. She looked at him to see if he might smile. No such luck! He was like a guard protecting the castle wall.

The party was just getting started. Tribe members served the Chief’s table first. Roasted boar so tender it fell of the bone, a medley of baked vegetables wrapped in green taro leaves, sliced fruit and more. A tribe member stood up and told Meret’s story as a translator related it in their local dialect. When he was finished a slow drumbeat announce the time to do a tribal dance. Members held hands and danced in a circle. Meret and her friends were encouraged to join in.
