SPECIAL FEATURES
  • A Witchtaker's bizarre properties make the bolts it fires nearly impossible for the Force Sensitive to predict and by extension reflect; the user is by no means exempt from this and will likely struggle to hit moving targets, especially at range. According to Apex's theoretical physics department, "the velocity and to a lesser degree path of the item's output changes in ways none of our models are able to reliably predict."
  • Witchtakers have a stun mode; Apex recommends keeping captured Force Users heavily sedated.
STRENGTHS & WEAKNESSES
  • 'Undeflectable': A Witchtaker's bolts are intrinsically impossible to perfectly predict, even for highly skilled Jedi; their velocity constantly and unpredictably changes based on "inversely extrapolated potentialities of quantum uncertainty". Even Apex can't predict the damn things.
  • Unpredictable: Hitting a target when your projectile's velocity is unpredictable is a bit to a lot more difficult, circumstances depending.
DESCRIPTION
Frustrated by the mystical nature of the Force and its users, Apex set out to return the favour by developing an arcane weapon - a weapon whose output is all but impossible to predictably avoid even for the most masterful of Force Users. Due to the unpredictable way in which a bolt's velocity and to a lesser degree course shifts, a Jedi's precognitive predictions are constantly changing as well, usually to the point of uselessness.

The phenomena was once described by an Apex researcher as "short-circuiting danger sense"; a fairly accurate assessment, all things considered. Naturally, it is still possible to 'play it safe' by avoiding the entire area a bolt might hit for the entire timeframe it might hit it.

This can be made considerably more difficult by saturation fire, destruction of cover, and the like.
