SoroSuub employs roughly half the population of the planet Sullust and, in fact, took control of the Sullustan Government during the early days of the Galactic Civil War. To protect its holdings, SoroSuub declared allegiance to the Empire, an act many Sullustans opposed. After enduring great political dissension on Sullust, SoroSuub's savvy leadership wisely decided to support the Rebel Alliance shortly before the Battle of Endor. After the Empire's defeat, SoroSuub played a role in creating the New Republic's government.
While SoroSuub went into the New Republic Era a staunch ally of the New Republic, it remained so even into the reign of the Galactic Alliance. As such it supported the Galactic Alliance Remnant during the dark years of the reign of Darth Krayt's Sith Empire. It would go on to suffer, as did many during the Gulag Plague and barely managed to come out of that Dark Era.
Now SoroSuub has allied itself with the newly expanding Omega Protectorate, out of the desire to protect its people more than out of support of the new Government. As it employes roughly half of the Sullust population. Its actions are thus focused dually on credits and the prosperity of the Sullustan people.
