There had yet to be any real ground covered between Octavia and her betrothed, Daeryn. The pair of them had yet to start walking towards one another, there had been no give - from either of them, Tavi was equally as guilty, though she was much less cold about it - and yet there had also been no relinquishing from either family. Naturally the Bardots would not back out of this arrangement, and who could blame them? Marrying their daughter off to the royal family was ideal. And for the Neomas? Well, Octavia was a good, level headed girl, and there was hope that she could tame Daeryn's wild nature. So neither family gave in and let the pair go about their own way. They were stuck in this arrangement, and fighting it wasn't helping matters.
So Octavia had decided to extend a truce. Daeryn did not have to love her, she did not expect that from him, especially considering the circumstances of their impending marriage. But the pair of them did need to be able to respect each other, to depend on one another for whatever would come their way, and to even possibly be able to get along. It wasn't asking all that much, from either of them, and at this point Tavi had put that at the forefront of her mind and set these reasonable things as goals. She may never have a loving, nurturing marriage, but at least she could grow to have a companion she could lean on.
She had sent word to Daeryn, informing him that she would like to meet up in less suffocating circumstances. Something casual, something away from the ever watching eyes of both of their families, and something fun to boot. Naboo had plenty of little places for such occasions if you knew where to look, and with siblings like Tavi had? She knew exactly where to look. The building she had asked her husband-to-be to meet her at was plain as day on the outside. It blended in with the surrounding buildings, and it was quiet to boot. There were only a few people loitering on the outside, probably also waiting for others to arrive and join them.
Inside however, was a decently populated club. The middle of this club had it's own places to dance, where the music was loud and thumped hard enough to be felt in a person's bones. The outer edges of the club however were dampened, making the music less deafening for socializing. Drinks and food both were served within, and it was simply a place to go at the end of the day to unwind. Certainly not the sort of place one would picture Octavia's sweet face among the crowd, but here she was. Stood waiting for her betrothed, and honestly wondering if she would be stood up and therefore kept waiting all night, considering the way their not-relationship had gone thus far...
