Name: Solus Cerar

Classification: Island Mountain

Location: Mandalore, in the middle of an ocean along the equator, directly opposite of the planet from Ruug'la Vhekad Bral

Size: Approximately 20km2, the dead volcano at the end of the island is approximately 170m high.

Population: Insignificant.

Demographics: Wildlife and the occasional Mandalorian fisherman off the coast.

Points of Interest: The island is flat and contains nothing of note aside from the dead volcano that dominates one end. The volcano is entirely inactive and rises about 170m above the sea, though it continues underwater for some distance. The island is more or less open and with sparse vegetation.

Description and History:

Solus Cerar is a relatively forgotten island, hence the name it has been given by the Mandalorians, which means Lonely/Sole Mountain in Mando'a. The island is namely known for the dead volcano towering above the island and for the occasional school of fish that passes through the area.

The island has existed for thousands of years, predating the Taung themselves. It is believed, however, that the island was two or three times larger than it stands today as the amount of rubble, debris, and various other underwater evidence leads researchers to believe that the areas north and west of the island were once above water. It is believed seismic and volcanic activity drove the land there under the water, though it is unsure whether this was due to the volcano on the island erupting or due to other tectonic activity.

The island is easily accessed by beaches here and there on the island, though due to the relatively remote location (the nearest landfall is at least 1-3 days away by boat), there is no population existing on the island itself. Also, due to the low amount of large game and wildlife on the island, despite a pair of small freshwater springs, the island is deemed unable to support any kind of homestead or community without constant importation of consumables.
