POINTS OF INTEREST

[1] The first floor of Solstice Vine is your typical night club dance floor—flashing lights, loud music, scantily clad wait staff and a fully stocked bar. To enter the first floor, patrons must first walk through a short tunnel of colored, linear neon lights. Easily accessible, any and all patrons are free to enjoy the first floor of Solstice Vine.

[2] Similar to the first floor, the second floor of Solstice Vine is a publicly accessible are with plenty of booze and music. The space between the two floors is large open air, with stairs on either side of the first floor leading to the second. There is no dance floor attached to the second floor, but there are floating platforms (with barely visible guard rails) that hover in the open air. There is more seating on the second floor, and a larger bar. Patrons can find seating if they’re lucky, or reserve a booth or table ahead of time with enough credits.

[3] VIP/private rooms. Only the most wealthy patrons have access to the VIP rooms of Solstice Vine, which can vary in nature. Some are their own private dance party, while others are more relaxed, with slower music and soft mood lighting. These rooms are reservation only, and often play host to private parties and business deals. Each VIP area comes with it’s own fully stocked, dedicated bar and dancers at request. The walls of the VIP rooms are soundproofed, so as not to be disturbed by the noise from the lower floors.

[4] Suites. Though not a hotel per se, Solstice Vine has a floor of suites used often by wealthy patrons. Similarly to the rooms on the third floor, the suites are often soundproofed.

[5] Rooftop. Again, accessible by wealthy patrons or bribes in general, the rooftop is a party on it’s own. A large, in-ground pool with colored lighting spans nearly half of the roof, with, of course, a bar.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

Solstice Vine used to be known as The Sunset, a decent nightclub in downtown Cloud City. Though well furnished, The Sunset was plagued with management issues since day one. Immensely popular when it first opened, The Sunset owners were often known to skimp on safety measures as well as payroll. Employees consistently complained that they weren’t being paid the wages they’d agreed upon, and that management didn’t listen to their concerns including precariously placed equipment, lack of maintenance, and lack of guards. Several months after The Sunset opened, one of the spotlights fell onto the dance floor, seriously injuring several patrons. This put the club into some legal trouble, and the business was quickly drained of it’s finances after they’d been found dodging security measures. A little over half a year since The Sunset had opened it’s doors, the club closed down indefinitely.

The Sunset had been on Joza’s radar since it’s inception. An experienced tycoon of the entertainment industry, she saw the signs and quietly watched the club fail. Swooping in like a hawkbat, the Zeltron was already conducting talks with the property owners before the club’s closing had finalized. After successfully acquiring the building, it took nearly a year for renovations to take place. Building inspections occurred, and newer, safer equipment was installed. The fourth floor, another set of VIP rooms had been remodified as hotel-like suites. During the end of the renovations, interviews were held with potential employees where contracts were drawn up, including an agreed upon wage, and other legal protections required by Bespin law.

After nearly a year since closing down, The Sunset has officially re-opened it’s doors as Solstic Vine.
