- Permits empathic and limited telepathic communication between two Force-users anywhere in the universe.
- Useful as a simple test of Force-sensitivity. Works just fine for species whose telepathic or empathic gifts may be Force-related, such as Zeltrons and Iktotchi.
- Solitude Stones can be paired for stronger one-to-one communication, but can also contact any other Solitude Stones.
- Both users must be holding or wearing a Solitude Stone to communicate.
- Both users must be Force-sensitive.
- Ysalamiri and void stone will obstruct communication.
- Verbal telepathic communication is limited at best.
- Sauron issues. At least one Darksider is known to hold a Solitude Stone, so users should exercise good judgment around principles of stranger danger.
DESCRIPTION
Jend-Ro Quill very, very much prefers to be alone whenever possible. He doesn't dislike people, per se, he just needs distance, sometimes in the order of light-years. But everyone needs at least some sapient contact. While rummaging around with rocks at the Hoth enclave he calls home, he struck on what he thought was a solution. He started giving Force-imprinted stones to a few like-minded Jedi as an only partly-verbal means of communication.
Unfortunately, after a particularly clingy Jensaarai hermit gave him a telepathic talking-to for not answering his rock promptly, Quill soured on the whole experiment.
The stones, however, remain disseminated and in use. Handy little suckers.
