ADVANCED SYSTEMS
  • N/A
STRENGTHS
  • High-Speed Retrofit - Despite its older design, Solis Custos benefits from a retrofit that includes three Dyne 577 Radial Atomizer Engines salvaged from a Consular-class Cruiser (Charger c70 retrofit). This upgrade significantly enhances the ship's speed, allowing it to outpace some ships similar to it. The combination of the original design's durability with the advanced engines provides Solis Custos with a surprising speed advantage in both atmospheric and realspace travel. This can be a critical asset in evading threats, pursuing targets, or quickly navigating through different roleplay scenarios. Though these engines are not perfect, and are older than the current era, so fluctuating power, overheating, and generally being less advanced than current era engines, are especially important to know when requiring more than ordinary use.
WEAKNESSES
  • Mixed Ship Components - The use of components from different ship classes, while providing versatility, introduces complexities in maintenance and repair. In critical situations or prolonged missions, obtaining specific replacement parts may become a challenge, potentially leading to extended downtimes or makeshift repairs.
  • Exposed Shield/Sensor Dome - The custom "Shield/Sensor Dome," is external and exposed. This vulnerability could be exploited by adversaries during combat, as targeting and damaging the dome may compromise the ship's shielding and sensor capabilities. This adds an element of risk and strategic decision-making for the crew, emphasizing the need to protect and repair this crucial external component.
DESCRIPTION
Atos Vodus, facing budget constraints and seeking a pragmatic solution, enlisted the expertise of a local Thyrsian engineer to fashion a starship from the remnants of decommissioned vessels and scrapheaps scattered across Thyrsus and the Core of the Galaxy. This endeavor was borne out of necessity, as Vodus aimed to bridge the gap between diplomacy and defense without the financial means to acquire a state-of-the-art vessel. The result of this collaboration was the Solis Custos, a testament to resourcefulness, blending history with innovation to create a ship that surpassed its humble origins.

However, the Solis Custos, despite its strengths, introduces vulnerabilities. Its Shield/Sensor Dome, though innovative, is external, exposing a critical defensive component to potential damage. This weakness is compounded by an average maneuverability rating, making the ship susceptible to skilled adversaries. On the positive side, the Solis Custos benefits from advanced engines derived from the Charger c70 Retrofit, allowing it to achieve notable speeds despite its aging design.

In essence, the Solis Custos is a relic of the past, repurposed for contemporary challenges through ingenuity and necessity. It serves as a versatile craft, capable of diplomatic missions, personal transport, envoy duties, and tactical assaults, embodying the spirit of adaptation in the ever-evolving galactic landscape.

Issues.

  • Length: 189.2m
  • Width: 30.96m
  • Height: 32.9m

  • Hangar Space: Average: 1
  • Hangar Allocations: (This is the allocated amounts of starfighters and support craft (dropships, shuttles, gunships, etc) this submission can hold in its hangar based on the maximum hangar space capacity listed above)
    • Starfighters: 6 Average Length/Width/Height
    • Support Craft: 2 Average Length/Width/Height
Let me explain this first, you do not round up your size. You round down only, on average at 100 meters rounded down, you are at zero. Either make it 200 meters to get your average of one or change it to zero.

Second, the Hanger Allocation does not work like that. It works on a squadron basis. No, this is not up for debate, it is either:

Starfighters: 1
Shuttlecraft: 0

OR

Starfighters: 0
Shuttlecraft: 1

That is how they work.

Let me know when these are all fixed.

It was just flavor, sorry.

Changes
  • Changed length to 200 meters.
  • Changed Squadron list to conform.
