Dominion Snobby Takeovers | Grey Forces Dominion of Ichtor 8

1.jpg

Ichtor 8.

A planet of riches, of succulent meals and contest placers for the most beautiful people competitions. Little really had ever happened here, and what occurred was always repaired or ignored when able.

There is a certain power in wealth; things could be moved through time and space just by a certain amount of chits paid out. The lords and ladies of the planet were willing to pay anything to have their precious little Terran be taken care of.

In charge of the large rich neighborhood like globe, are the Lords and Ladies. They are vast, but many have similar schedules that allow them to gravitate into general areas together. It’s a perfect opportunity in many ways for one of good nature, or bad if they wish, to handle a take over.

Objective A:
Meet with the many reps of their cities and areas at the different rich clubs they might be at, convince them to join the Forces.

Objective B:
Hostile take over. Bring the militia of the planet to its knees, and make the people see they are nothing to your power.

Objective C:
Choose Your Own Path.

Zaiden looked out the viewport of their craft as it descended on Ichtor 8. It wasn't just one planet under their assault, but another alongside it at the moment. These dual bodies would assist in the growing and empowering of Grey Forces and their needs.

Glancing over his shoulder Zaiden called to Aesro, "Are you prepared to meet your first ground assault?" His mind moved back to his own first time, large assault such as this. He had been with the Empire of ages past. Ashin was Empress at the time.

She had pushed and he had heeded her pressures. Before long he had become Hand to the Empire. It was quite an honor.

Now the next stage had begun. He leading as they pushed to the front door of another's home. He wouldn't allow failure to occur through this all.

Hailing the Merc he had hired on, he said, "Drutin. Drop with myself. We move to combat the militias."

Aesro no longer dawned in guards as he was on Tatooine. His clothing was of a bit more quality, as was his weapon. This time it was made of Phrik, an incredibly durable as well as lightsaber resistant material. A vibro-sword was dangerous enough without being ridiculously durable. He was no master, certainly not. Far from it still. But he was being taught by Zaiden Dean Zaiden Dean and had already begun a good process of abilities.

He stepped forwards as his master asked him if he was ready for his first ground assault. Well, he was definitely intimidated. He had never been in a real battle before, just scuffles of sorts. And his escape. But, he was stronger now. "Yes sir, I believe I am." he answered. He glanced to the side as Zaiden also spoke to Alyosha Drutin. The two hadn't started off the best. Aesro didn't like the mans seeming pride, and it seemed Alyosha believed him to be too inexperienced with the world as a slave. Or perhaps he thought him presumptuous.

Either way, Aesro would keep it mostly to himself. Though he'd not disguise his opinion of the man, that had already been revealed. But he wouldn't intentionally cause more problems then were going to be bound to happen.

Hefting his blaster rifle so that it was pointed upwards, Alyosha resisted the urge to say something sarcastic in response to Zaiden Dean Zaiden Dean 's order. Something like "Yes, Your Majesty" or "Forsooth, m'lord" sat on the edge of his tongue, but he lodged it firmly in his cheek, biting back any stupid comments. He was here to do a job, and he would do it and get paid.

The most Zaiden would get out of him was a dull "Acknowledged." Devoid of royal address, or even the dignity of a respectful sir.

This mission, his very first with the Grey Forces, seemed simple enough. Ichtor 8 was a resort world for rich people; while they expected to meet some resistance, it wasn't like they were charging into the fray against a major faction with a full-scale army. The planet had little defenses beyond local militia and maybe the occasional millionaire who took up combat training as a hobby. Pure pazaak. Hopefully.

He caught Aesro staring at him and stifled a groan. For some reason Zaiden seemed to think it was a good idea to put the two of them together, even after their first encounter on Val'hala went less than smoothly. The Zabrak was noticeably nervous, and Alyosha had a feeling this was a new experience for him. Coincidentally, it was also a new experience for Alyosha, who was used to quiet assassinations and the occasional brawl, not a ground assault. But he could work with it. He always did.

Sensing the tension between the two nearly made Zaiden laugh. But he continued eyeing the planet as it loomed closer. Soon enough they breached the atmosphere, and began to descend.

"Another lesson for you, Aesro. Always trust your Master." At that he slapped the control that opened the exit ramp nearest themselves. Air began to rush like a small hurricane.

"Both of you. Jump." Knowing they wouldn't find any parachutes or jumppacks, he smiled and did a flip straight out of the ship. Already his ship was rising back out of the planets hold.

They had a moment or two to vacate or be stuck inside, in orbit.

Folding his body a moment, he flipped multiple times, whooping as he did. Then he began to sideroll, much like a barrel. Next backflips, before ending straight as an arrow. His face guiding him, he shot downward faster and faster.

Reaching behind himself with the Force, he sought out the two. Aesro should probably already know that such high jumps were sort of Zaiden's thing. Drutin did not. He wondered if the kid would trust him.

Aesro's attention was diverted from the mercenary as they began to get very close to their target. Zaiden Dean Zaiden Dean made another comment towards Aesro before opening up the exit ramp causing the rush of air to nearly rip Aesro off his feet, immediately making him move down to the floor to reduce its pull on him, only to see that Zaiden ordered a jump and left off himself. He didn't even look for a parachute on his master, nor for himself. He'd seen the man jump before, the very first time they met. Regardless of the height he'd fallen at, he survived. Aesro looked at Alyosha Drutin and grinned before standing up and running out the ship.

He held out his arms as if he was going for a belly flop in the air, finding quite soon just how much control it gave him over where he was going. Aesro could feel his master reaching out through the force, he trusted him. At least in most things, he hadn't run into reason to not...yet. But here he definitely did, he just hoped that Zaiden either intended to catch him, or that Aesro could figure out what the trick was before they hit the ground.

In all truth, it was exhilarating. He wasn't fearful yet. The rush of the air past him, how it seemed like it could last an eternity. He imagined what life would be like if you were constantly falling. What a strange life that would be indeed.

Alyosha watched with tight-lipped consternation as Zaiden Dean Zaiden Dean jumped out of the craft, followed by a grinning Aesro . He had picked up on the rapport between the two, the implicit trust of master and apprentice, but he wasn’t sure where the hell that left him in this situation. Was Zaiden going to catch him? Was this some kind of test?

In the end, he decided it didn’t matter.

Strapping his blaster to his back, he got up and leaped out. Air immediately buffeted his body, threatening to twist and snap his limbs with the sheer force of his own velocity. He relaxed his muscles, falling at his leisure, prepared to take back control when necessary.

The image that came to his mind in this state was of his stepfather Amos, the great Corellian circus acrobat. During his final performance, he’d reached for the trapeze too late. The rod slipped from his fingers as he plummeted hundreds of feet to his death. Strange how one single mistake could change the course of an entire family’s fate.

Zaiden and Aesro were both performing tricks in the air—flips, spins, dives. Alyosha just fell, his arms and legs folded against his body. He had no fear of heights, only of something going wrong.

Zaiden grabbed all three of them within the Force, and began their descent. It would be noticeable for the others, as if their body suddenly were caught in vices. It wasn't a hard squeeze, but he needed a grip on them all. With it he could guide and control their descent.

He wanted to be topside undetected. They did indeed have men arriving with them. Squadrons. Armies. But they were a bit behind. If Zaiden could have them three do something noteworthy before the backup arrived, maybe they needn't destroy much.

Suddenly all three would feel their velocities slow harder, as if caught in parachutes. In moments they each touched down, around the same pain present as could be had from a traditional drop.

"Drutin. Take six. Aesro. Take lead." Zaiden said, a small cylinder hitting his palm. His lightsaber would be the only weapon he really used or needed. Drutin watching their back while Aesro lead them along would allow himself to reach out and find their destination through the Force.

Indeed Aesro's sensing of Zaiden Dean Zaiden Dean 's grab was correct. He was starting to get a little better at that part at least. Well, reletively, this was really only a few times he'd managed to notice something out of controlled circumstances. He noted also the fact that Alyosha Drutin was practically ragdolling rather then trying to control his own descent. At first he believed he'd fallen unconscious but that didn't seem quite right. Aesro felt the slowed descent as his master used the force, and as he got close enough to the ground in as much of a proper landing as he could. The pain of such a landing might be there, but for someone who had been working all their lives as a zabrak slave and been in brawls, it was rather unimportant. And he was swiftly back on his feet, heading to group up with Zaiden as he started giving out orders.

"Yes sir." he responded grabbing his Phrik Vibro-sword and removing it, though not activating it yet, while taking point and beginning to move. He moved rather swiftly but definitely with some care at least to watch out for potential enemies. He was not a soldier or an elite trained person, but he was smart enough to know that rushing into something without paying any mind to the surroundings was an absolutely awful idea.

He'd occasionally glance behind to look at his master and at the mercenary to see what they were up to, but most of the time he remained focused on his job. Taking the front of the way.

Alyosha tried not to stiffen as he felt Zaiden’s grip around him. He let out a grunt as the breath was knocked from his lungs upon impact, then staggered to his feet. Not exactly a graceful landing, but at least he wasn’t fuzz, guts and eyeballs splattered on the ground.

He cracked his neck, then unslung his blaster, gripping the rifle with both hands. Aesro tramped on ahead, occasionally glancing back at Zaiden Dean Zaiden Dean and Alyosha, who fell into step behind them.

Itchor 8, a place she'd never been to, but here she was. The past years mounted up to her leaving the Jedi and selling her services to make a living. And no, not like that, but as a bodyguard. Telling one they were a Jedi and would act as bodyguard for a small payment seemed to be easy enough to get jobs.

But she was here because a new power was coming to attempt a diplomatic endeavor of bring Itchor into the fold of it's grasp. The Grey Forces. Somebody she knew nothing about. Regardless, this all seemed more pleasant for her presence to be needed. Whatever the case, maybe it would bring something, this day, something exciting.

Zaiden froze, hand up, signalled a half. Looking to Aesro, then backward at Drutin. Something was off.

Suddenly a militant group popped from their placements, guns drawn. Lowering his hand, the man began gathering energy. This could be bad.

"We got alerts of your arrival. State your purpose. Or come with us. Your choice." One of the men shouted.

Zaiden cast a telepathic thought to the duo, Be silent. Do nothing.

Spotting a girl walking nearby, he called to the men, "Her. I am coming with my guards to find, her."

Alyosha halted as the militants appeared, raising his weapon on instinct. Before he could do anything, he heard Zaiden Dean Zaiden Dean 's voice inside his head ordering him to stand down. He relaxed his stance and lowered his rifle, wondering when he'd get used to being ordered around via telepathy. Not that he was complaining - it was one of the most useful powers he could think of. But the way Zaiden used it, like most of his other abilities, came across as excessive. He could have just as easily verbalized the command - which would put the militants at ease as well...

Here I go again, quibbling over the details. He sighed.

His eyes flicked to the girl, Erika Garter Sin , as Zaiden pointed to her and announced that they had come for her. Alyosha did a double-take. The blonde looked to be in her mid to late teens, and while she had an athletic build, there didn't seem much about her that was remarkable. Either Zaiden had some grand plan he hadn't bothered to let them in on, or the Lupine had pulled the excuse out of his ass in a foolhardy attempt to divert suspicion. Why didn't he just tell these morons what they were here for? It wasn't like they could keep their true intentions a secret for long...

Aesro stopped as Zaiden Dean Zaiden Dean held up a hand, and glanced back at Alyosha Drutin as he did as well. Then in a moment soldiers appeared, Aesro held his vibro-sword firmly but he did not attack, he simply looked at them as he heard Zaiden speak to him telepathically to stay silent. SO he continued to only watch as an answer was given to the soldiers question, not the true answer perhaps, but an answer.

He had pointed out Erika Garter Sin as someone who apparently they were here for. Like he thought, he assumed this to be a lie. But he wasn't going to say so nor give any such sign that that was what he believed. Simply remaining silent, watching the guards, glancing around thoughtfully. There was no need to show any signs of hostility, it'd only cause more problems, and it wasn't like they were going to try and sneak up on them.

Objective: A
Location: Ichtor 8
Allies: Grey Forces
Enemies: ?
Plan: Meet with the different reps

It was a good thing Jairdain had always wanted to be a diplomat or consular. She had gone through her life with that dream and it had come true many times. This was just another opportunity to allow her colors to shine. On the world of Ichtor 8, she had requested the local leaders to unite and hold a meeting.

The world was divided up into different neighborhoods and it seemed like each one had its own ruler. Her quest might be difficult to accomplish, but she was going to speak them as almost royalty herself. Jairdain was the sister to a king and regent of an area on Commenor. Another thing she had was the power of Zaiden and spoke using his name. Anything she was able to do was for him and the advancement of his movement.

As the appointed representative of the Grey Forces, she was also a Master of the Force. Sitting in a great room designed for this type of meeting, she waited. Soon enough people started to drift in. Representatives of the people came in and took their own seats.

Not wanting to appear as less than anything she was, Jairdain dressed to impress. Quite often she went with blue, but today it was green. Along her shoulders and waist was gold floral embroidery and along the hem of her scarf. Her skirt was floor length and a solid matching green to the top and scarf. The only jewelry she wore was her wedding ring, but she also had a lightsaber clipped to her belt. In a way, it was almost a decoration there, but it at least denoted what she was.

"Good afternoon, gentle beings. I'm going to keep this short and simple. We of the Grey Forces would like to have an alliance with all of you. With everything happening outside in the Galaxy, we need to show a united face. All of you would remain in control of your neighborhoods, but the world would be under the sphere of our control. What this means for you all is safety. If any danger comes, we will protect you."

Standing by her chair, she appeared to look around at each person present. Speaking in a clear and calm tone, her voice would reach everybody's ear and their intention would be obvious. At the moment, there was truth in her words, but she didn't state what the price to them would be. She would wait and see what questions they had for her.

Anse hadn’t at all been pleased to get called to join Zaiden on a world that he was looking to bring under the authority of the Grey. All he had were coordinates that were periodically updated. Unfortunately when he arrived he soon found himself in a situation that might prove tricky. Seemed there was a small militia or something looking for outsiders. Outsiders who had dropped from the sky. Fortunately his ship was tucked in an out of the way spot, but himself? He was crouching inside a bush.

After the second patrol seemed to be moving in closer he got out his bag with his gear and carefully stowed his clothing into it. A breath later he changed to his wolf form and with a bit of wiggling managed to pull the bag from the bush and bolt past the patrols. He knew where the last location had pinged and once he got to that spot he stuck his nose to the ground and started to track Zaiden by scent.

He rounded a corner and ran smack in the middle between Zaiden’s group and yet another group with guns. He scrambled back and made a beeline to Zaiden his tail wagging furiously. He was laying on the dumb dog act as best he could despite the bag dangling from his mouth. The leader of the Greys would see the mischief in his golden eyes, but despite the keen desire to take a wee on his shoe to push the act, he held it in. However it was strong... He didn't particularly like being called to a battlefront, but he would make do.

Recognizing the aura of Anse as he approached, Zaiden continued charging energy a moment before raising a hand. His eyes never left Anse, who had a mischievous glint in his eyes. With his power over White Current illusion, he made an illusion that was his people turning to flee.

As imagined Anse, Aesro, Drutin and Zaiden fled, Zaiden continued staring at his men telling them to remain still. When the small militia shouted and moved to follow the phantom crew, he continued his statue still movements. Channeling enough energy into the escape escapades, Zaiden finally released his breath and shrugged to the group.

“I want to speak with the commanders, those few who can guide the hand of the people here. Fighting the militia will not help that.” At that he finally glanced to his men, “Let’s move. It shouldn’t be much farther. But at this point if we are seen, erase the opposition. Don’t let them make calls. No escape. No retaliation. I don’t want it. But it must be done now. We have fled from them, and are therefore guilty of something.”

A couple of strange things happened one right after the other. The first was the arrival of... a really big dog. Anse Baenshaol Anse Baenshaol trotted up beside Zaiden Dean Zaiden Dean , holding a bag stuffed with gear between his canine jaws. Alyosha didn't recognize the man in his wolf form, and assumed the dog was part of the reinforcements Zaiden had called in.

And then the militia, the blonde girl, and everyone else suddenly started shouting and running towards them. No - past them. Alyosha watched in bewilderment as they raced across the field, completely ignoring Zaiden, Aesro , and himself. Zaiden stood perfectly still, and they rushed by him as if he wasn't even there.

When Alyosha dared to crane his neck and look back in the direction the militia was headed, he saw what looked like fake copies of the team fleeing the scene. He snorted in disbelief, quirked an eyebrow, and decided it was best not to question the many weird and wonderful powers his new boss possessed.

Hearing Zaiden's voice, he turned toward him and listened. Given how ridiculously powerful this space wizard was, he supposed Zaiden didn't need protection. He likely could transport himself directly to the building where the leaders were, like he had done in order to save Alyosha from the bounty hunters... so why were they doing the dirty work?

To strike fear, he thought. To make sure these people don't try to fight back.

Gritting his teeth, Alyosha held his tongue and mutely followed the others as they started walking again. It took everything in him not to say a dissenting word. He wanted to question everything - Zaiden's methods, his motives, his ideology. But he knew no good would come of it. He was just a hired merc, and challenging Zaiden would only piss him off. Maybe he should have accepted a position of higher authority within the Grey Forces, if only for the sake of convenience. Or maybe he shouldn't have joined at all.

He supposed he would just have to trust in Zaiden's judgment. For now, anyway. And hope no innocent civilians were among those whom Zaiden had just ordered erased.

Watching from atop a hill nearby, Kua's eyes scanned along the area that he saw the grey forces team land - Zaiden, and a few of his personal forces

Kua had arrived early to do what he did best - move about and gain information. He wanted to do what he could to see this through as quickly as possible, with little loss of life. He had hopes that his master's sentiments reflected his own, but he could only wait and see where fate lead.

Watching the militia move in and attempt to arrest them, Kua cursed under his breath, and began to move that way. With a bit of force concentration, Kua was able to silence his approach as well as hasten his movements, but he wouldn't be there before the squad was on them.

Thankfully Zaiden had abilities that Kua hadn't yet begun to ponder. The Lepi watched in sheer awe as Zaiden created a perfect set of force illusions, drawing the militia off on a wild goose chase.

Approaching slowly as to not alarm them or get shot, he spoke loudly enough for them to hear, showing himself before approaching.

"Its just me, Kua"

He approached Zaiden, slightly bowing his respects before speaking quickly and eagerly, he knew time was of the essence

"Master Zaiden, I have some Information that might be useful. There is a fair size city directly southeast of here that has a protection force mostly comprised of mass-produced security droids. We could take over using a show of force with minimal bloodshed, and lead the other governments to agree to your terms after making a quick example of this one. Just one idea..."

He said, glancing about. He knew Anse, and offered the man a warm smile. He knew that this wasn't his forte, being in the front line - a sentiment Kua shared strongly.

He wasn't aquainted with Aesro and Alyosha yet, but he offered them both a friendly respectful nod nonetheless.

With his intel delivered, he simply prepared to follow Zaiden into the path he would choose next.
