What did she even say to that?

She really hadn't been prepared for this kind of thing at all. An isolated childhood where you were forced to raise yourself didn't exactly teach someone what to do when presented with this. Loomi felt as though she was diving into uncharted, deep waters, pulled far away from the warmth of the shoreline into an inky depth she could not make out... But she didn't want to return to shore.

The Godoan decided that she wouldn't share any more words for now. That was the better course of action here. If she did, she'd probably just wind up making herself more confused. Instead, Loomi simply pulled herself closer to the young Echani and hugged him tightly, nuzzling her cheek against his. That was all she could really do now: Reciprocate the affection that he was showing her. That didn't take words, or complex thinking that would give her a headache, and it certainly didn't need any more questions to figure out how it worked.

They just had to be here.

And here... was a mighty fine place to be... Braze tried to offer her what comfort he could and held on to her tightly and offered her soothing consoling pets and caresses to her shoulders or head as he could. He didn't seem to mind just letting her be and feel accepted and loved, and let her stay as long as she wanted.
