Smoke on the Horizon

The unnaturally powerful strike inflicted upon Tenac's helmet had left it damaged, but not completely unusable. The mandible blasters would've been useful right about now, as the young man quickly assessed the damage also inflicted upon [member='Daos'], thanks to the duraplast shell of his headgear. The tribesman didn't give him much to recover however, charging forward in an attempt to barrel directly into the Disciple of Ren. So he did, knocking Tenac right off of his feet and onto his back with the impact. He wasn't sure how much longer he could last, if the battle kept going on like this.

The combat microcomputer within Tenac's helmet had been recording and assessing data throughout the majority of the encounter, providing the Ren with counter strategies and tidbits on the enemy's fighting style where it was possible. The predictive algorithms were nice, but not a guaranteed system to be relied on. Resisting the urge to gasp for air after being struck, Tenac reacted quickly as Daos sprung upon him, swinging one arm across his body, hoping to slam the attempted neck grip off course. His other hand sailed upwards from the ground, aiming to deliver a four fingered jab to the warrior's neck as he bent down.

Even with the injured hands, Daos was no doubt a sturdy fighter, and so the Ren would either need to tire him out, or escape in order to survive.
