Skyrim: Wyrmstooth DLC

Skyrim: Wyrmstooth DLC
It's big... It's awesome... Faalskarr fans beware...

What is it?

Wyrmstooth is a massive Mod built by JonXor. Hosted on the Nexus, it's just a tad smaller than Faalskarr, (if you're familiar with that humongous one), but with much more polish, voice acting, witty banter, and butt kicking allies. It released in 2012 but received it's latest update in February 2015. The author is still taking tech reports and making it better today. Whoa!

Here's the link to the Nexus Hub where it is hosted. All the information, forums, articles, images, downloads, etc; can be found there. If you're a die hard Skyrim Fan and know how to load a Mod? This is an adventure that will definitely bring you back for more Fus-Ro-Da. Oh, and it does not require you own any of the other DLC content like Hearthfire, either.

I'm already eight hours in and loving it. :D

Mods? Nexus? What is unlimited content you say?

Own a PC and living under a rock you say? Oh dear...

Nexus Mods Network is a fun hub for video game mods on the internet. Including Skyrim. Grab a free account, decline their emails, and then browse their massive library of content until your brain explodes, When you're ready to dive in, I do recommend using their Nexus Mod Manager software to improve your experience. Yes, modding takes a minimal invest to wrap your head around. But it's a tiny trade-off for 300+ more hours of Skyrim content. I've been using it for years and it works great.

Steam Workship is also a great place to find Mods for your games and is already integrated into Steam, if your running that route already.

Oh. And for all you kiddos out there. Nexus does host adult content. And while it can be filtered out and turned off at your own leisure from the settings menu; best to ask your parents first before signing up. Just FYI. Rated M for Mommy-First.

Any questions or comments you can drop a line here or PM me. This was just a shout out to all you Skyrim Modders out there. It's worth a look. :D

Whoa, a fellow Skyrim Modder? :D
Well now, I don't wanna rant here, but let's just say that I could talk for hours about this frustrating-yet-addicting game. :p

Wyrmstooth is, indeed, an excellent mod DLC, right up there with Falskaar (even tho I never much liked the latter, since it bugged on me too much).

And yes, if you're not using it yet, do get yourself the NMM. And LOOT too, while you're at it. :D

Definitely made some good memories in Wyrmstooth, I think more than in Falskaar. The finale is really, really well done. I'm a sucker for 'new lands' mods, and I'd call Wyrmstooth qualitatively the best fully functional one out there, even if Falskaar was bigger (and, to my mind, had a better main quest) and Moonpath to Elsweyr was more innovative in some ways.

Also a sucker for Frostfall.

I am so jealous and wanting right now. What's the best way to get ahold of this awesome DLC if you have crappy Internet at home? I just recently bought the Skyrim Legendary edition to get that stuff.

Huh. I know some of the bigger mods have torrent uploads? (By the authors, not illegal or anything)
But I wouldn't know for sure. :)

Download to thumb-drive on a PC with a faster connection. Then swap over to your own PC and load her up. :D

Well, I actually know a lot of PC Skyrim players who still play vanilla. :p

I daily strive to convince them of the error of their ways, but they refuse to be swayed. x)

This game is literally not even half as fun on a console.

Been looking for some new Skyrim mods to alleviate my boredom with this game since I've done practically everything else... I'll check this out!

New mods, you say? :D

This is probably my all-time favorite when it comes to additional content mods, hands down.
It's really big (like, huge), fully voiced, well-written, comes with a bajillion of new, interesting quests... I could go on, but then I'd rant, and ranting is bad. :p

I know, I know. *disavows said individuals*
They are a disgrace to the Skyrim community. :p

This looks great. I'll check it out when I get the chance. Actually just got a computer capable of running Skyrim a week back. Though we're still setting it up... This is the family's first new computer in 5+ years! Only the second non-box desktop we've ever had.

I have a feeling I am going to spend 5+ years just playing Skyrim...
