Phrik Hilt
Kasha Crystal
Rotary switch

STRENGTHS:
Phrik – The hilt is made from highly lightsaber/blaster resistant material increasing its durability and survivability in battle.
Focus – The lightsaber utilizes a Kasha crystal which aids in clearing the wielder’s mind of distractions.

WEAKNESSES:
Anti-saber MaterialsCortosis can cause the lightsaber to short, and the blade cannot easily cut through Beskar, Phrik or other lightsaber resistant materials.
Single-handed – With a smaller hilt comes less raw power. Certain offensive and defensive moves will be weaker than that of a two-handed hilt.
Not waterproof – the lightsaber does not utilize a bifurcating cyclical-ignition pulse and will short if submerged in water.

While under the guidance of her master Vitaara Oduro and through the influence of the Force Skylar crafted her lightsaber using a Kasha crystal she had discovered on Cerea. While the crafting process was slower than she would have liked due to her capability of easily being distracted while working on tasks that would seem tedious to her. She eventually completed the single-handed lightsaber hilt, which for a fourteen-year-old turned out better than she could have hoped. She opted out of the traditional toggle switch and was able to integrate a rotary switch, which at first glance would look like a buttonless lightsaber. When Skylar ignited her saber for the first time she was a little disappointed it wasn’t like her previous cyan-colored blade, but rather a deep amber color to which she quickly came to love.
