Greetings K KAR , I will be reviewing this submission from here on.

Reading over your submission, it's off to a good start, however there are a number of areas that require edits and clarification.

First thing's first, I'm going to need you to add a tag to the thread labeling it as "Canon" and also fix the spelling in the brackets of the submissions title.

Following that…

OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION:

  • Permissions: Faction TBA
  • Links: WIP

Please fill in the above sections, and add the appropriate links relevant to the submission. For any section of the submission that's not relevant or required, simply put "N/A".

GENERAL INFORMATION:

  • Major Exports: Knowledge

Can you please clarify how "Knowledge" is a major export to this World. Perhaps, as an example you might put "Research", however you will need to provide context to explain why this specific research would be a major export unique to Skye while technology such as the Holonet provides information out in spades.

What kind of knowledge is this? Is it extremely rare and how would this provide the financial economy as export and import business most often does.

  • Unexploited Resources: Forests and freshwater

Please provide further context to the above, for example what resources come from the forests? Eg. Lumber etc. Also, water isn't a relevant unexploitable resource when it's readily available galaxy-wide, shipping water off-world wouldn't be of much worth.

LOCATION INFORMATION:

  • Capital City: Cloud City

A couple issues with this one, "Cloud City" for a start is already a known canon location within the Star Wars universe so I would suggest a change of name there. However, according to the Skye Wiki there is already a known capital: "City of the Winged People". If you seek to replace this then you will need to clarify what happened to the former capital and how/why the capital was changed as opposed to simply being rebuilt/repaired.

Planetary Features: [ What are interesting artificial features of the planet? Ruins, interconnected cities, floating urban platforms. This field is used to sketch out artificial features, adding RP opportunities, but without the need for specific details like in the major locations field. You can also include if the planet is primarily Wild, Rural, Suburban, Urban, or a Mix. ]
  • Tundra located in the north with several unexplored temples and ancient cities
  • Underwater ruins located in the eastern oceans

You can remove the template description for Planetary Features. Please also give further clarification regarding the unexplored temples, ancient cities and underwater ruins.

Where did these come from? What is their history or what do they contain within? Any relevant information a writer would need to know when exploring these locations should be specified here.

It’s important to be specific as certain technologies are banned on the board, and it’s best if submissions detail what can be found here in the case that players misuse your location.

Major Locations:
  • The Ivory Tower - headquarters to the Ivory Scholars Foundation (TBA) this building is a large white tower where the foundation comes together for meetings and to discuss the future of their scholarly pursuits.
  • Alabaster Ice Caverns - This tundra is located on the northern hemisphere of the planet and is a maze that many scholars have tried to complete. There are numerous tombs, caves, lakes, and hidden treasures in these dangerous caverns.
  • Entyrmion - The Entyrmion was a vast, labyrinthine cavern complex located under the mountain ranges of Skye. The natives of Skye, the S'kytri, regarded the Entyrmion as their underworld, and, as such, it was off limits. According to the S'kytri mythology, the surface of Skye was originally ruled by chaotic monstrosities, which ended up being locked up in the Entyrmion by the hero Hormaket the Vanquisher.

Please remove the TBA following Ivory Scholars Foundation.

As explained regarding the ruins and ancient temples, please give further clarification as to the Alabaster Ice Caverns. What can be found within, how vast are they, again anything relevant that a player foreign to this world and submission would need to know should they explore this location.

Finally, please add a custom description to Entyrmion. Plagiarism is against the rules and the provided description is almost identical to the excerpt found here.

Citing the codex rules found here; Plagiarism will not be tolerated. Small excerpts may be included from other sources in a sub, but they must include a credit, link, and be clearly marked.

POPULATION:

  • Native Species: S'kytri
  • Immigrated Species: Human
  • Population: Sparse
  • Demographics: Most of the population lives in Cloud City. It is primarily made up of humans who are pursuing the sciences and arts in a research related way
  • Primary Languages: Galactic Basic
  • Culture: Skye is a planet of knowledge. Some call it "The Ivory Tower" because it is full of people who decided to leave the common ways of the galaxy in pursuit of scientific research and knowledge. The planet is full of thinkers and has a big culture surrounding art, history, science, and culture. There are several libraries, conservatories, planetariums and museums all used to increase the knowledge of those. There is a culture of lifelong learning and the pursuit of a scholarly passion for all.

The native species needs to be linked, see here; Native Species: [ Species that have always lived there. Any uncommon species or custom species should be linked. ]

Following that, you have mentioned that the population is sparse, yet your wording implies otherwise in the culture section, describing the planet to be "full of people" etc. I strongly suggest amending this to better fit the sparse population or otherwise reconsider the population mass altogether.

As previously mentioned, amend the issue surrounding "Cloud City" once having made the appropriate changes to the major locations above.

While Galactic Basic is listed as the primary language, can you give clarification as to what happened to the native language of the S'kytri if no longer used.
If the native species is also still present on the world then I would suggest giving clarification in the demographics section regarding how they interact with the majority human population (Do they reside in the same city, is there any underlying resentments or racism etc).

GOVERNMENT & ECONOMY:

  • Government: [ Federal Republic would describe a government such as the United States. Other general terms can be used. ]
  • Affiliation: TBA

Please provide details for the above sections or otherwise "N/A" will suffice. With regards to the government however, please clarify what happened to the former Supreme Council, and how order is maintained if no other governing body has taken it's place.

  • Wealth: Medium - a lot of archeological artifacts and other treasures reside in museums. Knowledge is also worth a lot and these citizens dedicate their life to the pursuit of it.

As artifacts aren't listed as major exports, how do these provide considerable wealth for the world. Museums hold artifacts and items on show and otherwise do not provide any significant value nation wide, but would be more akin to a business where profit is concerned (eg. Visitor entry fees). Again please see comments regarding "knowledge" in the major exports section.

MILITARY & TECHNOLOGY:

  • Military: None

You have previously mentioned a police force within the planets high stability rating. While not required, perhaps some clarification could be provided here as to a light presence of law enforcement or otherwise add context to a possible judicial system within the submissions culture or government sections.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION:

Before developing into a terrestrial planet, ancient Skye was a turbulent world of seismic activity and violent unrest on its surface. Various beasts such as mutant blorgworms, five-headed gogitols, blood-sucking beasts roamed the planet's surface and contributed to the chaos before the birth of the S'kytri people. According to legend, the hero Hormaket the Vanquisher led the S'kytri in a war against the ground-roaming beasts and imprisoned them within the depths of the Entyrmion's subterranean hell. With the conclusion of the primordial warfare, the S'kytri established a primitive civilization and remained independent from other civilizations as much as they could.

Culture on the planet was divided into three distinct sets of clans: the Highland and Lowland Clans which governed the world, and the outcast Outland Clans which were deemed genetically inferior. Consisting of about one third of the planet's population, the Outlanders were castigated for having red or orange skin and banished from the aeries and cities of the green and blue-skinned S'kytri. During the Clone Wars, the Outland Clans joined forces with the mad geneticist Zeta Magnus in an attempt to destroy the other S'kytri clans. However, Magnus infected all S'kytri with a mind-ravishing plague which drove his loyal servants mad. Feasting on them as others launched suicidal campaigns against the mountain fortresses of their Highland and Lowland cousins, Magnus nearly wiped out the species before being driven offworld by Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, and Halagad Ventor. In exchange for the antidote to Magnus' plague, the planet's Patriarch and Supreme Council pledged fealty to the Jedi and vowed to fill any debt that was called.

Under the Galactic Empire's tyranny the population was enslaved in forced labor. When The New Republic rose the world was largley forgotten about and ignored by politicians. The natives became wary of off-worlders, fearing they would be enslaved again. They shut their borders and Skye stayed very primitive. Because of this primitive lifestyle The Gulag Virus caused major destruction on the world. The population dwindled and the hundred year darkness set in. It wasn't until 836 ABY that a group of explorers landed on the world. The explorers were very interested in the ancient cities and tombs that the planet held. Soon a small group of scholars gathered to study the landscape and history of the S'kytri people. The world became a safe haven for learning and academically minded individuals flocked to the planet to avoid the strife of the factions and war. The population soon started to rise and the remaining natives integrated with the new human scholars to create a culture of scholastic pursuit and peace.

Again, you will need to write up your own version of a historical description here.

Citing the codex rules found here; Plagiarism will not be tolerated. Small excerpts may be included from other sources in a sub, but they must include a credit, link, and be clearly marked.

One or two sentences at most is acceptable for what may be considered "Small excerpts". Providing they are referenced for due credit.

Planetary Features:
  • Tundra located in the north with several unexplored temples and ancient cities

The unexplored Temples and Ancient Cities still require explaining. As these temples aren't mentioned in the original wiki, where did they come from and what culture do they exhibit. What are people (writers) like to find when exploring these locations. Be specific as to detail the temples origin and the sort of environment to be discovered within.

How does Human Society work within Skye if there is no government in place. Who ensures that the local police operate within ethical practice as opposed to becoming akin to a gang and enforcing their own agenda? You are welcome to have no government, but these are questions that require clarification for those who would visit the planet.
