DESCRIPTION

As her connection to the Darkness is strengthened, the Amalgam chose the risk of wielding the old and dangerous tainted lightsaber of the Woman who made her who she is today.

The Congregation was a skilled Dark Side Witch with an obsession to spread the Dark Side and corrupt every Force Adept she came across, much like her successor, the shapeshifting thief and street vagrant Leejun Forrwiirmeni, a woman who had spent much of her life at the margins, desperately attempting to go straight after taking pleasure in an act of murderous revenge. Sensing how dangerous a threat she would be were she to embrace the Ashla, and her strength in the Force, The Witch knew she had found her heir, and devoted herself to secretly sabotaging all of the future Amalgam's attempts to become legitimate, which finally led to a psychotic breakdown after Leejun was wrongfully arrested for an act of thieving she did not commit. Lashing out with the Force, she killed the ones sent to arrest her, and at that point her teacher revealed herself and offered to teach the Dark Side. With her chance at a normal life utterly ruined, Leejun had little choice and for the next two decades served as the Congregation's apprentice/slave, until, as she had with her own master, The Congregation's life was ended when her apprentice violently tore out every scrap of information from the Congregation's skull, and her beliefs and mannerisms became those of her apprentice, to a degree.

The Skin Razors are an Inquisitorious inspired weapon, a highly specialized double bladed lightsaber designed with a distinct focus on causing as much pain as possible and confusing either singular or multiple opponents, though its particular upgrades can make it difficult for the Amalgam to employ her traditional, high speed defensive style, as so many upgrades are geared towards a pure offensive approach, which was The Congregation's preferred style.

Strengths:
Old fashioned: Like most lightsabers, it cuts through materials with relative ease.

Get to the Choppa!: Like certain models of ancient times, the blades can spin so rapidly temporary lift and flight can be achieved. This can be turned on and off by twisting a mechanism in the hilt to allow for the possibility of more traditional wielding

Shadow of The Dark Side: The Kerestian Light Absorbing Cells create a twenty meter radius of near pitch black darkness around the saber.

Surprise!: The crystals have been specially cut and tuned in such a way that the hum of the lightsaber is reduced to nearly inaudible levels. This can be deadly in the right conditions.

Double Surprise!: The blades are dual phase, at the flick of a switch either is able shoot out to twice their length.

Heavy damage: Its specialized lenses and power cells mean any organic who gets hit by the blades, provided they survive will suffer both extreme pain and nervous system damage.

Waterproof: Its bifurcating cyclical ignition pulse means it won't short out.

Confusing: In theory, the double bladed spinning lightsaber allows for even faster deadlier fluries due to its motorized track. In addition, the abilities of the blades to quickly shift both it positions and length make for a potential ability to confound traditionally trained lightsaber fighters

Synthetic Crystals: The blade was made with purple synthetic crystals, giving them a very very small chance of breaking a lightsaber blade made with natural crystals

Weaknesses:

Aggression: Because so much of this weapon is geared to naked aggression, something that the Amalgam only employs after wearing down an opponent normally, it is slightly unwieldy due to its upgrades, making it more difficult to control then normal and throwing off her preferred strategy. Additionally, as with all synth crystals there is a very very small chance of the blade simply shorting out. In addition, the Amalgam is not accostomed to the extra strength required to wield synthetic blades, further complicating her attempts to act defensively.

Traditional weakness: Contact with pure cortosis will short out its blade. In addition it has trouble damaging lightsaber resistant metals

Glaring weakspot: The weakness of this double saber is that its ring on which its emitters are mounted presents a very large target. If the ring were to be destroyed, the saber would cease to function, even if the emitters were aligned correctly to the hilt when the ring is destroyed.

Taint: The extreme taint of the weapon means it cannot be hidden in the Force even by by the Amalgam's Force Stealth abilities.

Difficult to conceal: It is a large object. Even with a coat there is a risk of it sticking out.

Needs room: As with all double bladed lightsabers, it requires room to get the most use out of. But without proper room to manuver one is reduced to just a single blade, which is not Amalgam's strong suit.

EMP: Motorizing the hilt has left it with another weakness. If emp is used, the emitters will stop where they are on the track for a few minutes. While this will not shut off the blades themselves, depending what position they are in when frozen, it could make for difficult wielding.

[member="The Amalgam"], I have always enjoyed double bladed lightsabers. My only quip on this is the spinning function. Is there a button press to turn it on and off, and if so, can EMP/Ion type weaponry disable the usage of this, and what it someone were to only damage the ring of the lightsaber and not the hilt? Could it still be activated but not be able to spin?

As always, good luck with your submission!

Edited so that all the issues you mentioned got added to strengths and weaknesses. Emp will disable the track though not the blades themselves, and the track itself can be shut off with the flick of a switch. Lastly, clarified that even if the emitters were properly aligned to the hilt if the ring was destroyed, the saber would cease to function, [member="Atheus"]
