Skerry Waters [Wren]

Mites and things.

Tara shuddered. Nope. Those were definitely unpleasant. Think of all the other space people who contacted really gross space bugs. Sitara knew the galaxy was a dangerous place, but for all those yucky stuff to be living in your skin? Tara really didn’t want to know. Wren seemed like she took up a few more lessons on body parts that Tara couldn’t care less about. She really didn’t want to be grossed out though.

I could go for that too.” She agreed with the blonde as they were walking. Their pacing was slow, which would normally bother the fast-living Sitara Qin, but for now, she was okay with this. As Wren looked up, Tara mimicked her movements. This whole cave could crumble on top of them and nobody would ever realize they were there. Of course, there was always force barrier, but how long would that last?

As they came to a crossroads, Wren asked her for her pick of their next destination. “Well,” Sitara said, thinking as she tapped her chin. “We could always go back here, right?” She asked, shrugging. “Let’s go to the cathedral first. Maybe there’s some ultra cool stuff!

She nodded, "I agree to think that down here in the dark someone built a cathedral. I wonder if it is a real cathedral or just someone's interpretation" The two women walked along comfortable with one another and lost within their own thoughts as they looked at the walls of the cave.

"Look how smooth this is Tara, like it's been touched thousands of time to make it this way" The path was turning and the light was getting brighter soon they ducked under a rock archway into a room that had a small pool with a tiny fountain. Wren paused this can't be the cathedral!?

She looked around nah she looked at Tara, and then past Tara. Her mouth dropped open

"ohhh"

Beyond Tara's shoulder was another well it room

She could not remember having ever seen anything like this before.

She smiled. “Who would build a cathedral in a cave anyways?” She asked, as she walked alongside the bubbly blonde. As they ventured forth into the dark cave, she could see that they were approaching something illuminated. The cave was dark enough to make this dim light look bright, and Tara looked back and forth to Wren as they approached it.

This is…incredible.” She whispered as her hands touched the smooth walls of the cave. As they headed towards the wall, her mouth fell agape. “Oh my….” She whispered, amazed by the beauty of the room.

It looked untouched and built just for their amusement. Sitara found herself thinking that this was probably a more gorgeous than a bunch of random hot guys anyways. She found herself stepping into the cathedral. “I wonder how long it took for them to build all this stuff….?” She whispered. “This is amazing."

“Someone with a lot of time on their hands” Wren’s voice trailed off as she looked at the murals. It was all hand carved, it was stunning.

“I don’t know” Wren was answering Tara’s questions as they walked inside, “it would seem like a lifetime, or a couple of lifetimes I mean just look” Wren got closer, she longed to touch it but she was concerned sometimes she got images that made no sense and left her with a headache.

This was amazing and wonderful at the same time to her, wow.

“It seems to be a place that someone would come and seek comfort” Wren’s wasn’t sure what she believed in even with the force. She walked on, “Look at this mural Tara it looks like they are praying?”

Wren wondered more now about this culture, “Have you seen other murals like this?”

The interior was simply breathtaking. The hand-carved decorations, the swooping lights, the murals; it was hard to believe that all this lasted the test of time hidden in this little grotto for them to discover. It was certainly a treat, and Sitara was more than delighted at the fact that they had stumbled onto it.

Wren then mentioned the murals and Sitara had to agree. They did look like they were praying, though she wasn’t quite sure what religion they were in. Sitara didn’t believe in a god, nor did she really wish there to be an afterlife. She simply thought that thinking about it was strenuous and therefor, not worth her time.

But even so, wouldn’t it be comforting to at least know something was out there?

She shrugged.

They do look like they’re praying.” She said, stroking her chin. “And no, I don’t think I’ve seen anything like this before. It’s all so foreign…

Tell me, Wren, do you pray?

Did she pray?

She looked over at Tara, “sometimes, I say things like Goddess help me, do you mean like that?”

What was praying? To bend a knew before an idol or something that was worshiped and pour out your heart to it hoping that it heard and did something. She didn’t think right now about it.

But if Serena could answer Serena would say The galaxy and everyone, and everything in it is connected. If there was some all-powerful creature that made that happens. I don’t know. Do I pray, every day.

Wren half smiled, “Seems at some point this cavern connected to the mines and the miners who spent most of their lives underground built several rooms for use. I don’t think I could live underground like that, could you Tara?”

She looked away for a moment thinking about Wren’s answer. What did Tara mean? Did she even pray? Sitara shrugged and gave her a slight smile. “Well, I dunno. I guess it depends on the person.” She said, before looking around.

It was strange to wonder how the galaxy came about. Scientists could probably explain it far better than she did. But beyond their explanations, there had to be so much more than just that. Was there even a point to life except for living?

Her thoughts were starting to hurt her head. She joined Wren again.

I don’t think so either. I like the world above us, and I like knowing there are a million planets out there. I’d just hate to feel so…trapped.

"I agree I couldn't live in a place that felt dark, cold, and the only light was from a lantern. I'll take the stars anytime, as much as I love this, I love the light" Serena walked along through another opening. This time there was a sign that intrigued her.

Crystal mine -->
Serena paused, "I've always wanted to see a crystal mine." She had heard stories heard rumors, and if this one had anything like that this could be a true treasure trove for them both. She looked at Tara, "I know we are bouncing all over but it's just one more tunnel, would you mind?"

There were rumors of how powerful crystals could be, to find one a single one that...that would be a she couldn't explain it.
