HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The Wraith-Wyrm originated during the late Old Republic era, created by a group of Korriban alchemists attempting to engineer the "perfect dark-side sentinel creature." Their goal was not to craft a dragon, but a near-silent, fiercely territorial guardian beast that could survive for long durations within tomb complexes, ruins, and Sith shrines.
Using a genetic base of vornskr, hssiss, and native reptilian fauna, the alchemists imbued the hybrid organism with dark side–attuned sensory organs and a natural shadow-distortion field.
For centuries, Wraith-Wyrms were used as guardians for temples, ritual chambers, or as personal hunting beasts by Sith Lords.
Many were destroyed during the Great Purge of Korriban. A few escaped into the wilderness of Dromund Kaas, where storms shaped a second strain. Their numbers dwindled over millennia, leaving only a handful across the galaxy. On modern Chaos-era timelines, Wraith-Wyrms are considered mythical, highly dangerous, and nearly impossible to control—yet a few dark-side cults continue to seek eggs for alchemical experiments.

GENERAL INFORMATION
[]Name: WRAITH-WYRM
[]Designation: Semi-Sentient
[]Origins: Created through Sith alchemy on Korriban, using genetic splicing of vornskr, hssiss, and unidentified reptilian fauna.
[]Average Lifespan: 40–55 standard years.
[]Estimated Population: Semi-Unique — Extremely rare. Only a handful of confirmed living specimens.
[]Description:
Wraith-Wyrms are sleek, scaled Sithspawn predators resembling draconic silhouettes without qualifying as true dragons. Their bodies are long, sinuous, and muscular, with dark scaled hides, forward-facing predatory eyes, and elongated skulls with ridged horns. A Wraith-Wyrm moves with uncanny silence and is known for its piercing amber gaze and shadow-clinging presence. Though fearsome in appearance, their size is closer to a large nexu or vornskr, not a dragon.
PHYSICAL INFORMATION
[]Breathes: Type I (Standard Oxygen-Nitrogen).
[]Average Height of Adults: 1.4 – 1.7 meters at the shoulder.
[]Average Length of Adults: 3.2 – 4.5 meters from snout to tail-tip.
[]Skin color: Black, charcoal, ash-gray; rare individuals show faint iridescent scaling.
[]Hair color: N/A
[]Distinctions:
— Scaled, serpentine predator with elongated skull and horn ridges
— Golden or ember-like eyes, adapted for low-light hunting
— Extremely silent locomotion
— Slight shadow-distortion field generated around their bodies (uncontrolled, side-effect of alchemy)
— Long, powerful tail used for balance, striking, and rapid pivoting
— No wings, no fire-breath, no flight capabilities
[]Races:
— Korriban Strain (original)
— Dromund Kaas Strain (storm-adapted)
[]Force Sensitivity: Standard — Some are Force-reactive due to Sith alchemy, but not truly "trained."
Strengths:
[]Alchemically Enhanced Predation: Heightened senses (hearing, motion-detection, scent) superior to most apex predators.
[]Shadow Warp Skin: Their Sithspawn-modified scales distort ambient light around them, allowing them to blend into darkness unnaturally well. Not invisibility, but close in low-light conditions.
Weaknesses:
[]Bright-Light Vulnerability: Their eyes are extremely sensitive to sudden flashes, UV exposure, and sustained direct illumination.
[]Alchemical Instability: Their bodies suffer periodic metabolic crashes requiring extensive rest; prolonged combat or stress can trigger collapse.
CULTURE
[]Diet: Carnivore — primarily consumes small to medium fauna. Alchemically enhanced metabolism allows them to digest corrupted meat, Sithlife, and parasitic organisms.
[]Communication: Body language, growls, hisses, ultrasonic trills. Limited empathic projection (emotional impressions, not telepathy).
[]Technology level: None.
[]Religion/Beliefs: N/A — but they are instinctively drawn to dark side nexuses.- General behavior:
Wraith-Wyrms are solitary predators. They claim large territories and rarely tolerate other predators, including their own kind. They are crepuscular, most active at dawn and dusk. Despite their ferocity, they demonstrate a surprising degree of loyalty toward individuals who show them consistent respect or who resonate strongly with the dark side. This "bonding" is not domestication—rather a predatory pact. They raise one offspring at a time and abandon them after one year of survival training.
