GENERAL INFORMATION

• Name: Skarabe, colloquially known as "Force Eaters" or "magic-eaters"
• Designation: Non-sentient
• Origins: Necropolis
• Average Lifespan: 3-6 years
• Estimated Population: Scattered
• Description: Skarabes are beetle-like manifestations of the Dark Side who "eat" Force-imbued or alchemized items, typically by draining the Force energies from them over time. If not stopped, this will damage or destroy the item.

PHYSICAL INFORMATION

• Breathes: Type I
• Average Height of Adults: N/A
• Average Length of Adults: 10 cm (4 inches)
• Skin color: Purple
• Hair color: Skarabes do not have hair. If you see one with hair, it is wearing a wig.
• Distinctions: Skarabes typically take on the appearance of a large jewel-toned beetle. They are sexless and cannot reproduce naturally. They must be summoned via sorcery.
• Races: N/A
• Force Sensitivity: All

Strengths:

• They eat the Force by consuming energies found in Force-imbued objects
• Vanish back into the Force when they die, leaving no trace

Weaknesses:

• Large size makes them relatively easy to spot
• Relatively easy to remove
• Are naturally drawn to Force nexuses and may end up gorging themselves to death
• Absence or nullification of the Force means they have no food source and will die within a matter of hours

CULTURE

• Diet: Skarabes consume Force energy. Similar to moths eating clothing that has not been properly stored, they will seek out Force-imbued objects or nexuses and slowly drain them of energy. If attached to a Force Sensitive being, they can theoretically drain them too... but most beings tend to notice their presence quickly, and they are easy to remove.
• Communication: May be telepathically commanded by a Force User or simply given a telepathic command. Generally they are singular creatures who do not interact with other members of their own kind.
• Technology level: Well one time I saw one driving a speeder... Nah, they're insects. They don't use tech.
• Religion/Beliefs: N/A
• General behavior: Skarabes exist to consume the Force. They have no known goals or beliefs beyond feasting.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Similar to Smoke Demons, skarabes are manifestations of the Dark Side conjured up via sorcery. While they are known to have originated on the planet of Necropolis, where they are still commonly used by voodoo bocors to torment their rivals, they can be found in other parts of the galaxy as well. Anyone who knows how to use sorcery can theoretically summon a skarabe and command it to consume.

So some small questions for you.

1, Due to them consuming the force, how does that interact with places such as nexuses that could in theory, have unlimited connection to the force?

2, Would they ever have the chance of attempting to consume force sensitives?

Just to leave a paper trail, You added a weakness of "They gorge themselves to death" for my question of nexus locations or like minded objects. Cool. I like that.

Now for people eating - that they were large enough that you could swat them off. So here is my final question as it pertains to the edit.

Hypothetical, if they were to eat people who were force sensitive, what would happen to them if they were allowed to continue eating? I ask this because lets say a Sith uses this as a form of torture/punishment or someone is unable to remove them. What happens then?
