TECHNICAL INFORMATION
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Modular: This droid has several weapon mounts that can be changed out before the needs of each mission that is faced.
  • Genius: This droid is cold and calculating. His processor is built around a series of advanced calculators that allows for it to take into account a variety of factors for chilling precision.
Strengths:
  • Ride or Die: SK-1's core programming is faithfulness to House Woden, but this has evolved over hundreds of years to primarily Zye Woden (over his father). For SK-1 to place Zye in harm's way would take more than hacking, it would be to undo everything that SK-1 is.
  • Faraday Cage: The copper wiring in SK-1's body helps to minimize ion damage. While this certainly doesn't do everything, he can still be slowed or take damage from ion charges that are sufficiently large enough, the minimize this. So, what would fry your average droid would only slow SK-1.
  • Calculating: SK-1's processor is basically a pair of top-notch, expensive calculators. SK-1 is able to quickly factor in things like gravity, wind, distance, and speed. These things come in handy for SK-1's initial concept design--snipping. With enough Time, SK-1 can calculate in bigger things such as battle plans, strategies, or the outcome of high-stakes gambling where the variables reach in the hundreds.
  • Coordinated: Ulric Woden didn't want just a walking calculator, he wanted a sniping machine. SK-1, as a result, was given servos in its arms and hands that are more appropriate for a surgical droid than a combat droid while this makes it incredibly coordinated, it also makes SK-1 weaker (see "Physical Weak" under Weaknesses).
  • Languages: SK-1 knows thousands of languages, and will continue to learn more thanks to its heuristic processor and computational ability. With SK-1's programming that emphasizes accuracy, it makes a great translator for Zye when he doesn't know the language.
  • Pilot: SK-1 was not designed to be a pilot, but Zye wanted to make sure that his droid would be able to function as a get-away driver in the event things went south during a hunt. Over dozens of years, he made sure that SK-1 integrated these skills into its data core. Now it is able to apply the computational knowledge it has in sniping to piloting a variety of crafts.
Weaknesses:
  • Melee combat: SK-1 was designed more as a sniper with its concept and relies on melee weapons. Its combat programming has been primarily dedicated to ranged weapons, so in the even that SK-1 is engaged, it will most likely move with the coordination of a drunk bantha.
  • Physically Weak: Further contributing to SK-1's inability as a melee fighter, the droid's servos are considerably weak. They were designed to be compact and give speed over strength.SK-1 can carry itself, climb or do anything like that with a little extra weight. However when it is given something of medium to heavy weight, SK-1's servos are strained to the max and he has a hard time moving.
  • Humanity: There is one thing that SK-1 can never calculate, what we call "human nature." No matter how brilliant the droid is, it can't count in for love, devotion, stress, or the major motivators that would give an organic the edge in melee combat or cause them to do what they do (like fly an A-wing into a Star Destroyer, or sacrifice themselves to bring down a battle station). So while SK-1 can move with accuracy, this droid's calculations are at best, 98.8% accurate.
  • Lightweight: The chassis of the SK-1 droid is incredibly compact and lightweight for its size. Even though it is about the size of an average human, it weighs a bit less. This makes it more prone to trip attacks, being knocked prone, pushed around, and other attacks like this.
DESCRIPTION

Ulric Woden is a man of incredible machinations, ever seeking to create more tools and more power for him to exploit. As part of his constant quest to gain more, he created what he considered to be the ultimate sniping and hunting droid to help him along his missions to kill the Sithspawn that plague Iridonia. He made sure this droid had an intense processor, sparing no expense in its computational power. With its design, Ulric made sure that SK-1 would major in the ability to kill from afar by giving it precise, medical grade servos. And since Ulric believed in never making a tool that he too could not defeat, he made sure that SK-1 was physically weak.

After the birth of his son, and Zye's entrance into the Sithspawn hunting realm, SK-1 ended up spending more time with him than Ulric. Unlike his father, Zye insisted on not wiping SK-1's memory, claiming that it gave the droid an edge in hunting by memorizing local land and increasing its ability to make viable shortcuts in memory. The truth was, as cold as the droid was, Zye could tell he had a strong chance of winning it to his side over his father. It would in the end tip towards Zye's side. The change became so permanent even after his father attempted to revert it back after several memory wipes, he found it impossible. As a result, SK-1 hasn't had a proper memory wipe in over 200 years.

SK-1's personality is minimal at best. It has a highly professional demeanor that is nothing if not clinical. It most identifies as gender neutral, with minor masculine programming beginning to take hold in its system. It is likely the result of continual reference to SK-1 as "he" over the years finally having a toll on its programming. When speaking SK-1 is to the point, stating facts that either are or are not. SK-1 doesn't talk often to beings other than Zye, unless ordered to do so. The droid sees Zye's continual existence as its primary function. It is quick to appraise him on the greatest viable means of success and calculates the odds of success in most all instances.

For all its strengths and age, SK-1 is still unable to factor in or understand emotion. Its austere programming prevents it from understanding what love or devotion could be, and thus makes fundamental errors in its calculations regarding organic actions. It sees everything as functioning machines, and the unpredictable makes it hard for SK-1 to completely plan for everything, or totally react to every action.
