Darth Veyriss

The old academy and new medical labs that had been built were many thing... it rarely trained anyone not looking to be a doctor or medic which among sith was a rarity sometimes jusst darksiders in general... so fresh recruits were.... rare and could be special. The shuttle arriving as the weather control stations in the mountains lessened the storms to make a path and its cloaking field stayed down for the moment. The shifting as guards remained in positions at the towers... the walls black stone and metal. Smooth and highly reflective while the massive blade covered struts anchored it to the wall. Dozens of turrets and weapons trained to follow the shuttle as it arrived and the area around the landing platform was filled with more scanners and sensors. Medical Corps personnel standing there in the sleek armored uniforms that were sealed and gleamed. SOldiers in sealed armor with additional protection in key areas and bulkier to prevent chewing.

"Proceed to processing and cleaning. Anything foreign will need sterilization, ensure anything infectious is noted, open wounds, fever. Report anything odd right away. Biological research is conducted here. We do not want temple or ships being infected without control." THe one said it and stood there... both looking at and past the people who were coming from the ship. They hadd managed to filter out, to cull and bring several this time... a new years crop that might manage to survive as the lift to the lower levels was filled. The lower levels filled with researchers in their armored suits as they experimented on reanimated parts of infected. Seras in her pressure chamber where she could work without the mechanical suit and the Garhoons body was a mass of scars, burns and melted flesh. Facial muscles a sinister visage as the cheeks were melted and barely connected with strands of flesh. THe seared nerves keeping her in constant pain but it allowed the sith scientist a constant reminder.

"New recruits Doctor." The voice from the droid came outside and she looked up from the table. their tests on Hetzel prime had given many results but done were as beneficial as this one. The jedi encountered had stopped the drengir attack partially.. so the body was half drained in areas and half alive as the man was begging for something for the pain. THe muscles in his arm dried and husk like as the skin pressed into the nerves and the blood vessels were constricted. He was in constant pain there and in his neck which was much the same. She continued to monitor him for signs of either degredation or even recovery.. the force was welcomed here as he had tried to call upon it through the pain several times... usually barely able to make it into a balm to dull the pain as she injected him with the latest to bring it all screaming back with fire on his nerves. The droids recording all of the information as needed much to her.... indifference in the situation since he was a piece of flesh to further push their goals.

"Recruits..." THe voice came out with a hiss as golden eyes looked up at a screen to show her and she was moving to the alcove in the chamber. Her chest plate and mask being afixed to her for a moment with a hiss as her breathing came out mechanical for a moment. The chamber opened into another with one around the table closing. Decontamination lights working as they were made to sterilize the air and surfaces but would leave the man and her alive. It was the best way so far to decontaminate and prevent spreading of it as she walked to the lift. The airlocks and seals being done as each section had its own scanners and pressurized sections.... slower but again mean to keep spreading to a minimum. The drengir experiments were one thing... the murakama experiments just as dangerous this far down and there were other bilogical weapons... the academy here was infamous among the right circles... some knew it existed... others came here seeking samples to enhance their own experiments.

While in the courtyard the open area was mostly deceptive.. the main tower was gone.. the buildings were converted to various needs and walking around in it were droids monitoring and patrolling to seek out any signs of something trying to get in or out. The central statue with three faces on it serving like a statue of a sith but the faces were different. One full, one half covered and one completely covered just barely seeing the jawline but the head would look down and follow ones who walked by. THe medical corp doctors motioning to stay away from the kudzu like plants growing that tried to grab at thing coming near. "In the larger patches there are the 87th Drengir Combat Unit." THe doctor was explaining as some walked with him... the jet black armored design making it look more thuggish soldier then dark healer but Seras could see on the monitors of the academy... the airlocks hissing as painstakingly slow her movements from the lower and inner areas went further outwards.

He said it as the lift finally arrived and Seras stood there coming out with the wind tossing the black hair to the side. Her eyes were tracking and looking at everything she could see. "Welcome to Al-Khālī." She said it as the larger courtyard remained in the snow. The system and shielding coming back to obscure it from view in the weather that was being constantly fed and channeled through the stations. With more improvements they were trying for some of the more dangerous upgrades that would go into obscuring the planet from others... or hiding the academy at least. The old place attracted others but the labs works were not meant to be gotten out unless they released it. "Be cautious what you do or be food for the experiments... we have much here to weed out those who would fail." Her raspy and mechanical voice was coming out when the shield above shimmered from the snow wrapping and pelting it.

Darth Veyriss stepped into the depths of Al-Khālī, the sterilized air thick with the scent of antiseptics and something far less clinical—decay. Her breath, measured and mechanical through the filtration mask, echoed softly within her helmet. Each step was deliberate, the sound of her boots barely registering against the reinforced flooring as the airlocks behind her sealed shut.

She did not need a guide. The structure of the facility was already mapped in her mind, its layout a familiar web of laboratories, containment units, and sterilization chambers. She moved through the corridors, past sealed doors marked with warning sigils, past observation windows where half-conscious figures twitched and spasmed beneath restraints. Some experiments failed. Some endured. And some transcended.

A door ahead unlocked at her presence, the reinforced frame shifting with a deep, mechanical hiss. Within, a single chair sat in the center of a sterile chamber, its surface gleaming under cold white lights. A data terminal flickered to life at the chair's side, awaiting input.

Veyriss exhaled slowly.

She reached up, unclasping the locks of her helmet, and removed it with a slow, methodical motion. The filtered air of the facility gave way to the crisp sterility of the chamber, and she took a moment to adjust. Her white hair, neatly braided back, was untouched by the passage of time—yet her eyes, crimson and cold, carried the weight of something beyond years.

Setting the helmet aside, she lowered herself into the chair. The terminal responded instantly, its interface adjusting to her neural imprint. Data scrolled rapidly across the screen—biological reports, experimental results, genetic templates. The culmination of her work. The refinement of her designs.

Her fingers hovered over the controls, then settled. The new samples had arrived. Viable subjects were in place. And now, the true work would begin.

She leaned back, allowing the machine to interface with her systems, the data streaming directly into her consciousness. The sensation was seamless—pure, clinical precision. Information distilled into perfection.

Darth Veyriss did not waste time on satisfaction. There was no need for it.

There was only the work.

The tour continued, airlocks hissing and the continued movement through. Chambers filled with various prisoners who were sent... slaves bought or captured and in the older areas like the mess hall a gallery of different species for testing. Seras walking as the ones who had been brought in were going through their administration.. some might survive and if they didn't well.. more meat for the testing grounds as she went down the lift. The levels each decontaminating as she fopund it rather... useful and overly secured was better then thinking they couldn't have a breach. The one who was working here offered more variables for the experiments as the lift came to a rest and opened into an airlock.

Seras moved through while she was looking at a scanner and finally moved through. THe mechanical arms removing sections of her preservation suit and replacing them with a newer section and pieces for cleansing. She came into the clean room with her lab and stood there for a moment. The mechanical arms removing the mouth piece as the scarred and burned flesh made a nasty visage of sharp teeth and rough but the pressure in the chamber where she could work showed a lot more. The smaller table set up so she could look over different creatures that they had found across the galaxy. The Drengir had given them some but she was looking at the ropo and these foxes.

She was checking on more as the screen came down. Progress reports from the labs and constant communications was key to them being able to maintain their security as she spoke. "It is time for the twelve hour progress reports." The automated message played as screens and scanners worked. To visually confirm them in the labs and scan for infections or dangers... failures could be purged." Seras looked at it and was confirming herself visually to the computer as well as to the monitoring security. Other reports coming in that she could see throughout the facility as well as the scans of monitoring for power and containment.
