ADVANCED SYSTEMS
Strengths:
  • Battle Support: The Sith Meditation Sphere allows an exponential strength increase in Force illusion & battle meditation use by a Sith Lord, allowing one to project fleets, armies or other dark side manifestations via the Force to participate in battle over varying distances. Similar to the ancient sphere used by Naga Sadow, such projections can be made tangible, able to physically interact & numerous.
  • Force Power: The individual using the sphere is able to considerably increase both power in, and resource of, the Force through the complex network of enhancing and focusing crystals in the central meditation chamber. The higher the power and capabilities of the individual, the more potent the effects.
  • See More: The oracle stone allows the occupant to enter a trance and view the future with significantly increased clarity or even attempt to locate individuals.
  • Built Strong: Through meticulous applications of dark side treatments, the hull of the sphere is alchemized and therefore virtually indestructible; it takes considerable damage output to breach the ship, similarly to most Force-forged objects or vehicles.
  • Technologically Superior: The more modern sphere is many times technologically improved on older, more ancient spheres, while maintaining the same levels of Force enhancements and benefits.
Weaknesses:
  • Specialist Vessel: Using this ship at full capability requires a fully trained and prepared Sith Lord, capable of dark arts and Sith magic. Anyone less runs the risk of being overwhelmed with power and destroying themselves.
  • Enhancement Only: The sphere itself does not provide any benefit or power access to those incapable of it, rather it enhances what is already there to a significant degree. So anyone barely capable with illusions will still be barely capable of controlling the enhancement the sphere provides.
  • The Light: Like other alchemized objects of the dark side, there is a vulnerability to certain light side power - such as Wall of Light; such a power could do heavy damage to the vessels hull.
  • Force Reliance: Any Force disrupting elements, such as ysalamir or void stones, could hinder the spheres occupant and their abilities.
  • Always Changing: The future is never truly set in stone, so even with assistance of - and the subsequent improvement of precognition capability with - the oracle stone, events are always in a state of fluctuation.
  • Combat Limited: The sphere has a limited armament, mainly suited for defense against similarly classed vessels; front line engagements are very unlikely.
  • Sluggish: The sphere might be fast, but it is not suited for evasiveness; it won't be out-maneuvering most ships anytime soon.
Description: The Sith Meditation Sphere has been a powerful weapon used by Sith over time, particularly by those capable of performing the more refined powers of the dark side - illusions, battle meditation, precognition, etc. And like those ancient vessels, the Jen'Vi'kas have utilized resources available to produce a new sphere, so they may have powerful Sith Lords of their order perform similar feats in support of the Sith Empire. The true strength of the sphere is wholly reliant on the occupant using it, as a novice Sith cannot simply get in and begin wielding considerable power; rather, a highly trained and prepared Sith Lord is required, one who is specialized in the dark arts and Sith magics to make full use of the vessel.

Primarily the sphere is made for support. While highly durable, with an alchemized hull and strong shielding, it generally lacks armament to engage beyond small groups of similarly classed ships. As a result, the sphere requires backup and protection, which in turn allows the occupant the required level of concentration to perform duties within. The integrated systems allow for an individual to completely control the vessel, utilizing automated weaponry and voice command consoles; however, at the occupant's discretion, a two-person crew can be used, one for piloting and one for weapon use.

The real power of the sphere is the meditation chamber, and the numerous enhancement and focusing crystals it contains. An appropriately trained and capable Sith Lord can use the Force in impressive ways, by using particular dark art and magic powers. Mainly attuned to feats of illusions, battle meditation and precognition, etc, an occupant can project manifestations across varying distances with physical effectiveness in large numbers. Such a battle application can be ideal for an army, provided the Sith Lord using the sphere can maintain the use and concentration required.

Much like the meditation spheres of old, this vessel provides the potential for impressive applications of the Force, so long as the Sith using it can do so to begin with.
