OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: Create a reward for those that participated in either the Skirmish, the Invasion of Thyferra or both on the side of the Sith Empire. While also recognizing the efforts of some notable Alliance/allies writers.
  • Restricted Missions: /
  • Primary Source: /
PRODUCTION INFORMATION
  • Name: Sith Medical Emergency Pack [MEP]
  • Manufacturer: The Sith Empire.
  • Homeworld (optional): /
  • Production: Limited
  • Affiliation: Closed-Market
  • Modularity: No
  • Legal Status: Legal.
  • Ingredients: Kolcta, Bacta, Kolto.
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
  • Classification: Curative Agent
  • Method of Consumption: Orally, Injection, Ointment.
  • Average Life: Two or Three minutes.
  • Nutritional Value/Allergies/Side Effects/ Purpose: There are documented examples of individuals being allergic to either Bacta, Kolto or even Kolcta throughout the Galaxy. These individuals should never attempt to use any of these curative agents to help with their wounds as allergic reactions could range from mild itching up to and including death in the worst of cases.
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • The Medical Emergency Pack contains various agents of healing for the soldier/operative in the field. They are limited in quantity and should only be used during emergencies. The kit has been divided into three separate parts and color-coded for level of emergency. Green, orange and red for ease of use: green-level emergencies should be treated with Kolto. Orange with Bacta. Only in the most grievous of situations should the red-level emergency pack be used. The kolcta is reserved for limbs separated from the body and other similar emergencies.
Strengths:
  • Portable: Can be placed in any reasonably-sized bag or kit.
  • Free: The holders of these kits have distinguished themselves with service to the Sith Empire. They are outfitted with this kit prior to every mission and are eligible to free refills.
  • Elaborate: The med kit is compatible with any possible threat level. From cuts to torn limps and concussions, the kit has the tools necessary to either heal or stabilize the patient's condition.
Weaknesses:
  • Rare: Kolcta is potent, but also rare. Generally you can only use this kit once for red-level emergencies before it needs to be refilled at a resupply point.
  • Time: This isn't an on-the-go pack. You need time to apply one of the curative agents. It's not perfect for hotbed battlefield scenarios or in the middle of a battle.
  • Allergies: Some people are allergic to one or all of these curative agents... they won't have a good time with this.
DESCRIPTION
Prior to the Burning of Thyferra the Saaraishash conducted numerous covert operations to cultivate potential turncoats in the native population of the planet. While the invasion seemed to be a simple retribution effort - showing the consequence of interfering in internal Empire business - there was more to it than that. The bacta production was targeted heavily and this was keyed with the expansion of domestic bacta and kolto production capabilities within Empire territory.

The idea was that with severely crippling the production of Thyferra there would be a natural vacuum left... one that could be easily filled by the Empire.

Lord Saarai's former business taste at work, no doubt.

The success of this venture has yet to be shown and this has nothing to do with those larger projections. Instead the Medical Emergency Pack is reserved specifically for the soldiers, Sith, operatives and others that distinguished themselves during the Burning of Thyferra and the operations prior to it.

They get the first taste of the Empire's production and the experiments with kolcta.
