OOC INFORMATION
UNIT INFORMATION
  • Unit Name: Sith Justiciar
  • Affiliation: Darth Osano, Saaraishash (Eye of Truth), Sith Empire
  • Classification: Sith Assassins, Spies, Interrogators
  • Equipment: Light Armor, Miscellaneous Spy Tools, Lightsaber, etc.
COMBAT INFORMATION
  • Type: Specialist
  • Deployment: Rare
  • Availability: Limited
TRAITS
  • [Strength] Highly Trained - These Justiciars are especially stealthy, moreso than their peers in the other ministries of The Saaraishash. They can move unseen and undetected even through the most secure areas. They are also specially trained in interrogation techniques.
  • [Strength] The Force - Justiciars of the Eye are uniformly Force Sensitive. They are skilled in using it to disguise their presence, speed their movements, and manipulate the minds of others. They are trained in telekinesis as well, but don’t count on them doing anything really special. A token few in the uppermost ranks are familiar with abilities like Psychometry and Electronic Manipulation as well, but never both.
  • [Strength] Spiders - Justiciars of the Eye are expected to have their own network of spies and informants wherever they are needed. Establishing and maintaining webs of intelligence are their domain.
  • [Weakness] Battle Unfriendly - These Justiciars are good for one on one combat against other Force Users or small groups of Non-Force Users. Pitting them in the middle of military operations or frontline combat, however, is not going to end well. Justiciars of the Eye are better suited for assassination and reconnaissance, not warfare.
  • [Weakness] Dark Side - Justiciars, while perhaps more professional and restrained than their peers, are still typical devotees of the Dark Side. They are generally abrasive and condescending. They do not work well with others, exhibit irrational competitiveness among their ranks, and are best characterized as “glory hounds.” Because of their typically rude dispositions and power to prosecute treason, they are feared and disdained throughout the Empire.
DESCRIPTION

Justiciar is the official title given to Force Sensitive Inquisitors serving in The Saaraishash’s Eye of Truth. These men and women are charged with the field work necessary to keep The Eye of Truth operating and rid the Empire of potentially compromising elements. They are spies and assassins dedicated to rooting out dissent within the Empire and maintaining the proper order. The government, the military, the civilian populace - none are exempt from the prying eyes of these ruthless agents.

Some Justiciars are given more authority over their peers than others. The pecking order of Justiciars is a fairly simple one: Minor, Major, and Commander. A Justiciar Minor holds little authority in the Eye of Truth and answers to a Justiciar Major. A Justiciar Major serves as the commanding officer of three Justiciar Minors and can direct them as necessary. A Justiciar Commander controls three Justiciar Majors and their respective underlings as well. As one can imagine, the higher the rank of a Justiciar, the more formidable they are both in and out of combat.

There are four main tasks Justiciars of the Eye are charged with: Inquiry, Espionage, Evaluation, and Assassination.
  • Inquiry: Perhaps the most common of an Justiciar’s duties, Inquiry revolves around the establishing of networks. Contact is made or extorted with various individuals in various rungs of society. They will then provide the Justiciar with intelligence when called upon.
  • Espionage: When intelligence gathering must be more direct or an operation conducted by an internal enemy of the state must be impeded, an Justiciar of the Eye is dispatched. Such operations typically involve more discreet surveillance of those suspected of treason.
  • Evaluation: Dissent can crop up anywhere. It is sometimes necessary to remind the men and women of the Empire where their loyalties must lie - or else. It is the prerogative of the Eye of Truth to investigate anyone for any reason. Justiciars are often attached to ranking officials in the army, navy, government, or even affiliated corporations to ensure loyalty or to directly investigate claims of treasonous activity.
  • Assassination: When internal elements in the Empire start standing in the way of progress, it is the Saaraishash who have to deal with it. If the Hand of Truth is too much and the Mouth of Truth is too little, the Eye of Truth cleans up the mess. Sometimes an accident is staged. Other times the cause of death is more overt. Whether a malcontent perishes in a house fire or turns up without a head, you can be assured the Eye of Truth was likely behind it.
The Sith who become Justicars are typically pulled out from recent graduates of any given Sith academy - generally as close to the top of the class as possible. These individuals are selected because they show loyalty to the Empire, initiative, cunning, strength in the Force, and - perhaps most importantly - intelligence. The problems they must surmount and the insurrections they must dismantle require more than just brute force.

Since they will have already learned how to use the Force and a lightsaber by this time, their training to become a Justicar covers other areas. Mostly as it pertains to infiltration, interrogation, and intelligence gathering. Justiciars are also expected to be technologically savvy. Knowing how to slice into computer systems and reprogram electronics to suit their purposes is often essential to the tasks they must perform in the line of duty.

Once their Justiciar training is completed, their final admission into the Eye of Truth is contingent on approval by the High Inquisitor.

In terms of equipment, Justiciars are given access to an assortment of advanced support technology to help with their missions. Outside of that, their armor and lightsabers are perfectly mundane. Since they tend to view anyone inside the Inquisition as rivals and anyone outside of it as fodder, proven Justicars are given droids as personal guards and assistants - or minions if the situation calls for it.

Very organized and neat submission, exceptional content in their duties as well. From what I gather, this is an intel/counterintel unit with respective skillsets, barring that of direct combat in military operations.

Looks good. Approved.

Pending secondary approval.
