The students of the Sith Imperial Academies learn to be the next generation of Dark Lords and Ladies of the Sith. This education requires an understanding of how to employ Sith forces, such as the Sith Armada and the legions of stormtroopers. To that end, high performing students are sometimes selected for hands-on educational opportunities in the field, much like how the padawans of the Jedi were employed as Jedi Commanders in the field during the Clone Wars. For those occasions, this uniform replaces the standard school robe as the proper attire for the Sith cadet-acolyte.
The design of the cadet uniform is derived from the adult military uniform. The jacket and short pants are constructed of black gaberwool. Like the adult jacket, the cadet coat has a high, choker-style collar. The distinction is that the cadet collar is designed to be worn open, revealing the white, banded collar shirt worn underneath. A short cape drapes over the left side of the uniform, secured by the baldric that wraps around the torso.
A code cylinder on the right breast supplies the identification and credentials of the student as they move and interact with Sith Armada officers with varying degrees of access to Sith national security information. A Sith datacron was holstered on the left arm, over the cape. The datacron used a holographic interface that supplied an interactive Heads-Up Display for the student, allowing them to access, manipulate, and sort large volumes of information as they performed their assignments for their Sith masters.
