As the glorious Sith Empire of the Immortal [member="Darth Carnifex"] included worlds such as Mon Cala, it was expected that Sith-Imperial Academy students know how to conduct themselves when in aquatic environments. As such, Sith-Imperial Academies on Bastion and Korriban included swimming lessons as part of mandatory instruction. The Sith-Imperial Academy Swimsuit was the proper article of the uniform clothing to be worn by students during those lessons.
As these swimsuits were of superior comfort, many Sith and other loyal believers in the magnanimous rule of Carnifex wore the swim suit outside of the academic setting in order to profess their support for the rule of the Sith while lounging on beaches across the galaxy.
