Classification: Academy/Temple

Location:
The Sith Academy is located on the planet of Glee Anselm, home to the Nautolans. Glee Anselm is an ocean world, with the exception of a few clear landmasses. The Academy itself is located under water, with no visible landmass above water in sight. The nearest city would be Pieralos, the underwater capital of the Nautolans. Thus coming from space, there would be no visible landmark to navigate from. To know how to reach the destination, one would have to have the location's coordinates.

For those without access to a vehicle capable of travelling underwater, the best course of action would be to catch an underwater shuttle to Pieralos, and from there rent or otherwise acquire a transport to the academy. That, or alternatively go on a long swim. It is worth noting that this location is supposed to be hidden to all but the Sith, so travelling with unauthorized personnel, or showing others the way to the Academy would be ill-advised. That being said, the academy is meant to be open to all Sith from Acolyte and up to Lord, so security clearance required to gain knowledge of the location is fairly low. It is therefore not unreasonable to think that this information could somehow end up in the wrong hands, provided effort is put into gaining it.

The Academy is located inside of a large, open cave complex within an underwater mountain. Deep underwater, there is an opening in the mountain wall. This leads to a very modest labyrinth of water-filled cave tunnels, which in turn will eventually lead to the open cave. Aside from the body of water one emerges from upon entering, once inside there is no water. Instead there is a large open area, before the main entrance to the Academy.

The cave is in an air pocket, and as such there is breathable air inside. As a precaution, however, there is technological equipment placed around to ensure that the oxygen remains clean and breathable. These systems get more extensive inside the academy-building itself. In the event of a system failure and air-shortage, there are emergency protocols for how to react. Throughout several locations within the academy, there are access to rebreather masks mounted upon the walls, inside of glass-protected shelves.

Description:
The Sith Academy of Glee Anselm is a large training facility, with several floors. It is built within an open cave, as well as carved out of and into the cave walls. Both outside and within, there's an unnatural light illuminating the halls of the caves. Outside, this light appears in the shape of a gloomy purple, while inside, the lights are of a standard type.

There is still a large area in front of the main entrance left free. This serves as the academy's courtyard. On one side, there are two duelling rings. Both of these are made up of basic squares marked on the ground. There are no walls or other equipment available. On the other side, there's an area dedicated to making an example of unacceptable behaviour, while also serving as a warning to others. There are a few pillories, as well as thick poles. The poles are there for acolytes, or other deserving individuals, to be tied up against, and receive disciplinary lashings. Alternatively, acolytes can simply be left there for however long it is deemed necessary.

One of the major things the academy has to offer, is a duelling arena. This can be found within the main building. Unlike the minimalist duelling rings outside, this appears larger with a more elaborate design. Its intention is to be able to function as an official arena for tournaments, as well as being open for casual duels between apprentices and knights of the One Sith order. The arena is shaped in a large circle. There are rows available for spectators to observe any ongoing fighting. There are benches available, each row being placed higher than the one before to allow multiple rows without interfering with the line of sight. There is one VIP viewing room, intended for the Overseer, Lords, and other special guests. This area also has a bar. The walls of the arena ring go up approximately three-four meters in height, before they are replaced with transparisteel glass-walls. These are here to protect the spectators behind, without impairing their view. The arena floor is a hard layer of grained sand, on top of the cave rock. Inside the arena, the only structures are four thick pillars. Each pillar has one line written on them, in both ancient Sith and Basic. The lines are from the Sith Code:

Pillar one: Nwűl buti zo tash, ilsir tik shâsot/ Peace is a lie, there is only passion
Pillar two: Pro shâsot, nu gauti tyűk/ Through passion, I gain strength
Pillar three: Pro tyűk, nu gauti midwan/ Through strength, I gain power
Pillar four: Pro midwan, nu gauti pergaleas/ Through power, I gain victory

The Sith Academy has two main training areas. These are the largest training halls the academy provides, and they are intended to be used for group training, or alternatively solo-training. These provide students with various weapons, anything from quarterstaffs made out of hard wood, to training sabers that would do little more than burn and numb the targeted area with venom from pelko bugs. Sharp blades of various lengths and designs are also available, as well as a number of remote droids for blaster deflection practice. In addition to these main training halls, there are several smaller ones present. The size of these are what you would expect from regular class rooms. Their intent being one on one practice, or even theoretical lessons.

Anyone within the academy will also have access to a library. This section of the building boasts an ever growing collection of digitally stored data, datapads, tomes, flimsiplasts, as well as the other methods of storing knowledge one would be expect. These seek to cover the history of the Sith, though with emphasis on the rise of the One Sith order. Many of the documents on previous eras include notes showing persuading bias towards One Sith ideology.

Other notable facilities are a med bay, equipped with bacta tanks and other appropriate equipment, a sizeable cantina, and a prisoner ward, with equipment capable of holding NFU and FU alike. The latter is conveniently placed next to a torture chamber. The torture chamber is large enough to hold and showcase a wide range of equipment, as well have space for several people to be within. However, it's only really intended to entertain one, possibly two, subjects for torture at once. There is a side-room, with a one-way mirror between, for acolytes or others who wish to observe.

There are dormitories to house those acolytes who devote themselves to the academy, and choose to live at the location. The majority of the acolytes living there are Nautolans, given that this is the native species of the planet. Their accomodations are small, only containing the most basic of needs. Rooms for Sith of Knight-tier rank are found on a different floor. These are slightly larger, and offer room for a hint of more customization. However, these too are relatively basic. A rough estimate of the academy's total housing capacity suggests that it can host approximately three hundred students at a time.

Living quarters for Lords, and the tutors of the academy are considerably larger. These are naturally fewer in number, and only intended for those who live and work at the academy as trainers. Their quarters are large enough to fit in several rooms, including a comfortably sized bedroom, an office with room for customization based on the individual's personal interests, and a bathroom. There are a handful of guest rooms, that resemble the Lords' quarters, though they are smaller and more basic in what they can provide.

There is another exit, though access to this is restricted. Acolytes require special permission to use this one. It leads to another open cave. It is smaller than the main one, though large enough to house a modest amount of buildings. This is where the living quarters for Lords and tutors will be found. Up a case of stairs, there is the largest living quarter, belonging to the Overseer of the academy. This area also has access to a body of water, that leads out into the open ocean through an underwater tunnel. There is a dock here, with underwater vehicles ready to transport individuals, as well as groups of people. This may be considered a private entryway for Sith Lords and academy staff.

In this second open area, there is also a beast master's pen. However, due to the location of the academy, the amount of creatures found here are limited, and the building itself is modest in size. Sometimes exotic creatures are transported in for experimentation or use in the arena. Each rarely stay there long at a time.

History:
The history of this academy is brief, as it is a recent creation. This links in with Sith occupation of the planet being recent as well. The plans to build the academy started shortly after the One Sith had taken control of the planet, and squashed local opposition. The academy was constructed on the orders of one Tanek Santii, later known as Darth Pyrrhus. He was also the Sith in charge of the invasion of Glee Anselm, on behalf of the Dark Lord.

Darth Pyrrhus came across the cave that would later serve as the location for the academy when tracking down Nautolan insurgents. These were rebelling against the newly appointed pro-Sith Nautolan council, as well as Sith control over the planet. Being alerted to the location, pro-Sith forces were sent to deal with them. As it turned out, this was the rebels' main base of operation. The cave also housed a large number of civilian refugees. There was a brief battle inside the caves, which the Sith won. All the rebel soldiers were promptly executed, and the remaining refugees were slaughtered without mercy. No one escaped those caves alive.

As a result of this massacre, the cave complex became tainted by the death of the rebels and refugees. The Dark Side took its hold, and claimed it for itself. This was something Darth Pyrrhus decided to capitalize on, and figured that the cave should house some kind of Sith monument. After some consideration, it was decided that this was an ideal location for a new Sith academy.

Darth Pyrrhus oversaw the construction of the academy, along with another Sith, Sena Lassiter, who aided in this endeavour. The academy was built out of nothing, with no prior building present to expand upon. Since it only just now has opened to the members of the One Sith, its history has yet to unfold. To mark the opening of the academy, it became the host location for a faction wide tournament for the One Sith.
