STRENGTHS

• Rad-Blades: The Otherplasma used in this lightsaber's blades burns hotter and strikes harder than conventional sabers, and carries a dangerous radioactive contamination that can potentially cause lingering harm even after the battle has ended.
• Limit Break: Due to the Siqsa crystals used in its emitters, this lightsaber is capable of temporarily entering an overclocked state. This increases its damaging capability yet further at the cost of increased instability and risk to the user.

• Comfort Blanket: Due to utilizing his own blood as a focusing agent, the weapon becomes weaker when separated from its user. This renders it unsuitable for saber-throwing or similar telekinetic techniques.

DESCRIPTION

The personal weapon of Neryn Ka, this double-bladed lightsaber is a strange mixture of the elegant and the nontraditional. Roughly translated, its name means "Fiend's Triumph".

The hilt is heavily-ornamented, wrapped in soft blue Shadeweave cloth with intricate Shiftsteel-Gold intaglio engravings throughout. Each end is capped in a decorative emitter, resembling the petals of a flower. These function as guards as much as ornaments, preventing energy or metallic blades from slipping down to harm the user's hands.

Internally, most of the weapon's actual electronic components and necessary parts are laced with Helixium, preventing Force-based deactivation or tampering. Should the user wish it, this mechanism may be disabled, as is typical for Helixium-based objects. Nonetheless, while active, the user must manually switch the weapon on and off, and cannot activate it or deactivate it via the Force.

Overall, the weapon is beautiful in appearance, with significant care and artistry put into every centimeter.

Fed by crystallized shards of Neryn's own blood, the blade utilizes an unusual Otherplasma-based composition rather than the more typical ionized plasma reaction. This results in a tremendously powerful but tremendously unstable blade, capable of performing feats of armor-cleaving power normally well out of the reach of conventional sabers.

These unnatural energy blades pulse slightly with a gentle, constant rhythm, in time with the luminescence of the crystals within them. As the lightsaber is equipped with an Heraldry system, both are visibly festooned with glowing runes.

Despite its ostentatious nature, this is an exceptionally lethal weapon, combining greater-than-average power with the significant radiotoxic threat usually caused by Otherplasma-based weapons. Even relatively minor injuries can potentially be very serious indeed, resembling chemical or radiological burns more than those of extreme heat.

As with most lightsabers of this style, it is most often used in a visually-overwhelming, acrobatic style intended to rush down the enemy. It is designed for supreme, near-unstoppable aggression above all else, and everything about it is tuned to this purpose.

To this end, and thanks to the nature of its Siqsa crystals, the saber is capable of temporarily entering an overcharged mode. In such a state, its blades visibly strain against their containment, causing arcs of crimson-orange energy to dance up and down their length.

This causes the weapon to strike with considerably greater violence and inertia, but is best utilized for only brief periods, as being near the site of an Otherplasma breach is very unhealthy for all involved.

Whatever else he may be, Neryn is a Ka, and thus, a cheater. Both blades are equipped with Tide magnetic destabilizers, designed to threaten enemy lightsabers with damage or deactivation. What's more, the blades themselves, when in their overcharged state, experience slight leakage of their barely-contained reaction. This causes them to leave brief, lingering trails of dangerous superheated Otherplasma along their trajectory.

This nasty trick can often catch opponents unawares, as it renders follow-up strikes or movement through that immediate area very difficult. With careful timing, the wielder can even utilize this ability to fling swathes of Otherplasma as a ranged attack. These are quite dangerous over short distances, and can be utilized in the form of large sweeping area attacks, or small focused projectiles.

Indeed, between this, the forced deactivation hardware, and the weapon's sheer power, the overall design is intended to shatter all but the most flawless of defenses and enable its user's reckless aggression. It is a lightsaber as designed by a madman, terrible and deadly to the enemy and the wielder alike.
