DESCRIPTION

Made from the solidified fire-blood of Neryn Ka, there is but one source for these crystals. At present, only two examples exist in the galaxy, both contained within the same weapon.

Each are bright-red, luminescent gemstones that thrum with internal heat and power. Small, orange vein-like structures glow within them, creating a soft red luminescence that pulses like a heartbeat. Their intended purpose is to serve as lightsaber crystals, an idea that tickles Neryn's arrogance. After all, what purer way to focus his weapon than through his own living essence?

These crystals are capable of channeling Otherplasma reactions, creating a strange, orange-black energy blade that causes the air around it to visibly ripple with heat. Such blades have extraordinary damaging potential, and are capable of potentially cleaving materials normally highly-resistant to lightsabers, such as phrik.

Interestingly, these crystals possess the ability to "overclock" the resultant blades, making them visibly seethe with energy. Occasionally, small bolts of crimson lightning arc up and down the blades as their magnetic containment struggles to maintain cohesion. In moments of particular rage or instability on the part of the user, the blades might appear jagged or serrated, forming themselves into cruel implements of pain and destruction.

These intensified blades are dramatically more powerful, but accordingly unstable. They leave lingering, white-hot after-images as they travel, effectively "striking" twice and rendering them very difficult to defend against. Of course, these do not discriminate against friend or foe, and incautious use can easily maim or kill the wielder. The user must effectively dance around their own strikes, never repeating the same maneuver twice in a row. This, of course, is fitting for a Sephi, even one as grotesquely mutated as Neryn. One should always strive for some variety in their murder, after all...
