In the middle of a sand-covered, square-shaped arena, two fighters face each other 15 meters apart. The wall of the arena is 15 meters behind each fighter, and there are 22.5 meters to the walls on the left and right side of each fighter. Finally, there are six durasteel barriers in the arena, which are 2 meters long and 101.6 centimeters (1.016 meters) tall. They each weigh 2,721 kilograms and are not bolted down to the ground. The two barriers that are the closest to the each fighter are positioned 5 meters behind and 2 meters to the left and right behind their starting positions. The next two barriers are 7.5 meters in front of the fighters, and are 2 meters to the left and right in front of their starting positions.

The stands and the outside of the arena are sealed off from the fighters through a particle shield, which completely prevent exit or entry.

OOC: This thread is intended to be a non-canon practice PvP match. It is open to one other player, who will write as my opponent. I intend for the fight to be to the death, but that will be inconsequential, since this is a non-canon thread. Also, I made a quick and rough not-to-scale mockup of the arena, which is in the spoiler tag below. The red lines represent the barriers, and the two black dots represent the staring positions of our fighters. Keep in mind that each wall/side of the arena is 45 meters long.

Arena Battle Grounds
Equipment: 3 Personal Lightsabers, Daxton’s personal battle armor (highly polished and reflective battle suit with strong resistance to electrical and laser attacks), 6 smoke canisters, a bag of seeds.

The crowd cheered wildly at the arrival of the Dark Sith Lord, as his presence indicated the potential for total chaos and very violent confrontation ahead. Already the book makers issued markers before the opponents stepped fromther starting point. Who would attack first, who will draw first blood, will someone lose a limb, what limb and how many minutes into the match.

Many were surprised to note Daxton was not weilding a heavy carbine blaster, nor did he seem to have his shoulder mounted carbonite thrower. They also commented that there were no blaster droids circling about. Was it some sort of handicap or was the Dark Lord about to test a new strategem.

Daxton slowly drew breath, his facial features obscured by the reflective face plate that many have learned to dread facing on the field of battle. With seductive hiss all three sabers came to life, blue, green and red. Two in either hand and the third hovering like a scorpions tail waiting to strike just over his shoulder. The crowd roared as the Daxton signalled that he was prepared to strike.

Chandana Kay did not spare her opponent or the crowd a glance or a sign of acknowledgement. She was here to perform one task, and the undersized Auxiliary intended to execute it with ruthless efficiency. Within a few minutes, it was almost a certainty that the sandy ground of the arena would be soaked in blood. Whether most of it would belong to her or to the Dark Lord remained to be seen.

Just as her opponent activated his three plasma sabers, Chandana planted her feet and launched into a sprint, before sliding behind the barrier which had been to the right and in front of her initial position. When she was behind the barrier, Chandana leaned out from the right side while only exposing her head, shoulders, and assault rifle in the process. Then, as she lowered her rifle down to her chest, the magenta-maned soldier quickly scanned for the Dark Lord's position and primed herself for combat...

Daxton grinned beneath his reflective faceplate as [member="Chandana Kay"] ducked behind cover after all it made sense to lower once profile and provide less of a target. The problem was it appeared that her weapon was single barrelled rifle, meaning it would probably fire incalculated bursts that he could easily deflect using his blades as he closed in the distance.

The Dark Lord presented a tempting target, a seemingly sitting duck as he charged forward and closed the gap between them. But he was already augmenting his reflexes and speed using the Force, his blades on guard, ready to deflect the shots back the way they came before positioning himself on the opposite side of the wall she was hiding behind. Without warning smoke would enshroud and obscure Daxton from the crowd and his opponent. The thick toxic smoke would stick to the ground like a thick peasoup fog, allowing him to move inthe shadows.
