Private Sinderous Dark Jedi

340

Sinder would soon come to receive a message. Not from a person in his contacts. No, but apparently from directly inside of his ship. Surely, this was a ruse so that Sinder wouldn't find where the true sender was or who he or she is. Luckily, the message was quite clear in the hiring of the Trianii's services to secure a highly guarded, and secret object. The "Heart of the Universe" A kyber crystal of unforeseen power to be returned to appearant art collector judging by who sent it. A Zeltron by the name of Thaddius, a quite well known collector of Jedi and Sith artifacts. The message was as follows:

"Sinder, I have wanted to contact you for some time now. But finally, I have gotten hold of your contact details. Heres the job I have for you. I want you to go to Nar Shaddaa, specifically to the Red Light District number: Eight-Five-Two. Here you will have to scout out and locate the Red Lion society. Inside of this building lays the Heart of the Universe. A crystal that I really want inside of my collection. In compensation for your services. I offer you a five million credit reward, and a million credits as a finders fee. I am sure, that there are Dark-Siders inside there, but I am sure with what your reputation spoke of that this will be quite easy for you."

And with that, the message ended with a ping on Sinder's Off Planet Accounts. A addition of one-million credits... The job now was to head to Nar Shaddaa and scout out this building...

Sinder’s least favorite part about hyperspace travel was the loneliness of being by yourself in a ship. He sometimes longed for the days when he would have to travel on large ships headed toward destinations he could get lost in. There was a certain comfort in being crammed into a large ship filled with hundreds or thousands of people all going to Coruscant, or Corellia. It was easier for him to blend in in large crowds, even with his height and bright fur he was less likely to stick out than if he traveled on his own. Recently, however, he had been forced to use less mass transit considering his career was picking up and he was sent to far more remote locations than the mega cities he was used to. It had given him a sense of confidence and peace of mind, and he noticed he had to look over his should less and less.

This peace of mind wouldn’t last long however. The Trianii was finishing up his shower as his entire ship’s comms turned on, which was strange since he was alone on the ship, and it was stolen. The message was the offer of a job, one paying in the millions of credits. This invasion of privacy sent a chill down his spine as he covered himself with a towel and contemplated what he had just heard. Sinder had spent the last few years of his life looking out for himself because of what happened on Nar Shaddaa with Visco the Hutt, and the Sith who he had killed. The mercenary knew this likely could be a trap set to lure him back to the planet he hadn’t even thought about in what felt like ages.

The mercenary had to weigh whether the risk was worth the reward. He could surely use the money, considering the ship he was riding in likely needed more repairs than it was worth. With that kind of money the hunter could also afford to upgrade his old heavy repeater and get her in tip top shape. He could use the rest of the money to save back and even a make a trip back to his homeworld of Trian. The numbers were sounding almost too good to pass up. If it were a trap, however, he would likely be swarmed by the Dark Jedi he was told about in the message. Whomever found the way to reach him had obviously known about his training with the Jedi, which meant they knew his birth name, and if they could figure it out it was only a matter of time before the Sith who were hunting him would be able to do the same. Which posed the question, why would they not just track him down and kill him in the first place?

Before he had more time to consider his options, his ships comm came back on, declaring they would be leaving hyperspace and entering over Tatooine. The Trianii had agreed to go to a local village and help people negotiate with the Confederacy on behalf of a contact for his current employer. It would be wrong of him to turn his back on him, but in his gut, Sinder knew that his destiny was on Nar Shaddaa. Whether it was a trap or the opportunity of a lifetime, running from it would give no reward. After putting on his loose fitting shirt and a pair of pants to cover himself he made his way back to the cockpit, putting in the coordinates to arrive at Nar Shadda.

The landing process was much easier than Sinder had anticipated, the Black Suns seemed to not care or not know that the ship was stolen. Leaving the ship suited up in a set of medium armor that he knew wouldn’t restrict his movement too much, his heavy repeating blaster, and his lightsaber strapped to his hilt behind a fancy cloth that draped over his armor to hide the weapon he set off. The cool thing about Nar Shaddaa was that if you walked like you were important, most people didn’t bother you. Sinder did what he did best and blended into the crowd as he made his way to the destination.

Soon, Sinder landed upon his targeted destination. Almost the moment he sat the ship down another ping appeared on his ship's comms. The location to the artifact that his client was looking for. Two levels down, near the Red Light districts. Judging by the size of the Bounty Hunter and general alieness, surely if he went down there he would be harassed by roving bands of pickpockets or workers for the massive Brothels located below. There were alternative routes yes, but it would seem that Stealth by someone as big as Sinder would be ill advised.

He would start walking, however what was odd was that no one appeared to even shadow him. With them simply passing him by without a single thought at all. Which was quite odd... however as he entered the land speeder to head down the levels Sinder could spot a particular black robed figure watching him throughout his journey. Likely a member of his Client's entourage or perhaps one of the Dark-Jedi who was tasked in taking him down. However, as he arrived in the Red Light district, a entire sea of people stood between him and his target. The building which looked to be a former Hutt Spice Trading company seemed to be the massive target that he was looking for. Even from this distance, Sinder could see that there was a skeleton crew outside. Four poorly equipped bounty hunters. But, if he started blasting now he would likely hit a few civilians in the process.

The means of getting inside of this massive structure were easy, simply wipe the floor with the outside guardsmen and breach and bang. Furthermore, if his client's words were anything to go off of. Then perhaps there were a large number of Dark-Side cultists who wouldn't stand to see a huge cat-man bust down the door and lay waste to them. Sinder would have to prepare himself as he would have to cut a swath through at least one-hundred Cultists before meeting the owner of this Operation, whom was likely connected... Was a permanent target on your back worth it in the end?

More mysterious directions from the mysterious handler. These directions were more direct, however, instructing him how to get to where they needed him. This message didn’t seem as cryptic either, leading Sinder away from his feeling it might be a trap. Doing as he was instructed, he took a speeder toward the lower levels, making dock at a level on Nar Shaddaa he had never been to before.

Exiting the speeder he noticed the swathes of people in front of him. All of them seemingly un-phased by the seven foot tall Tranii, however, it wouldn’t be long before that changed. His muscular body pushed those out of the way that refused to move. They gave him a glare trying to tell him he was being rude, however, when they realized who they were glaring at they all quickly looked back down the floor not wanting to cause any problems. The closer to the compound Sinder got the stronger the feeling in the Force became. He didn’t really like to use or rely on the Force, however, this time he knew he would have to given what he would be up against,

In front of the building were four bounty hunters with little to no defense. Only one had armor and a heavy weapon, the other three were most likely his underlings, clad in leather chaps and equipped with smaller blasters and a vibroblade each. In the mercenary’s experience, if you challenged the boss the others would come to his aide, however, if you dispatched of the boss quickly, the lackies would scramble. With this in mind, Sinder formulated his battle plan. He would not be allowed to get too close without questioning from the brutes, however, he already knew his intentions where they did not, giving him the upper hand.

“Excuse me you do not have permission to be near this building, please stand back.” One of the smaller guards said to Sinder.

“I’m here on official business.”‌ He stood tall, “I‌ have credentials.”‌‌ The thug then walked closer to Sinder, giving him his moment to attack.

“I’d like to see them.”‌ He reached out an arm toward the Trianii.

Sinder used his superior strength to take the guard’s arm, breaking it at the elbow. He then used the weight of the man to hurl him into the body of the one with the repeating blaster before he had a chance to grab his weapon. There was a loud thud as their bodies impacted, throwing both of them onto the ground and likely knocking both of them out.

“Run.”‌ Sinder turned toward the other two who were left shaking and aiming their weapons at the mercenary. Though the only things they would be able to see were his large sharp teeth and deep yellow eyes looking through them. If they were smart they would leave before they ended up in the same situation as the others, or worse, dead.

The first man in the crowd, after seeing his compatriot get absolutely destroyed within a nano-second took off instantly. The other, was a bit more stubborn and seemed to be frozen in place before he, also took off running.

The man who was thrown as clearly unable to move, likely the throwing broke a few vertebrae. He just sat limp there, mewling like a dying cow. Likely paralyzed from the neck down. This left Sinder with a brand new open pathway in. The door into the building was already open and now he'd have a free way in. If Sinder chose to walk in. He'd be presented with quite a large front foyer. Which seemed to be advertise some kind of museum Judging by the state of the place, it had made quite a lot of money selling fake replica's and was likely a front for some sort of hidden spice business nevertheless, the people inside were only just richy-rich civilians gawking at Artifacts in display cases. There were also a few security guardsmen just standing about.

There was one man, apparently giving a tour to a small group of civvies. He was clad in some sort of fine suit and was probably the Museum curator. On this man's hip, was a small keycard. Probably to open the display cases.

So far, the objective would be to either, kill everyone on sight. Find a way to subdue the Museum Curator, and then head to the Jedi and Sith artifact collection located inside the hallway to his right. But, the guards wouldn't just let him in. He'd either have to shoot them down, or find a way to distract them with cunning and cleverness. If Sinder examined the Guards, they weren't paying any sort of attention at all to the Jedi and Sith collection... What path to take, was Sinder's from here in. And probably, if he so choosed. Could steal a few artifacts for himself as extra compensation...

With the bounty hunters making the smart choice and leaving Sinder be, he realized that shortly there would either be more of them or the citizens walking around would start to take notice. Whatever he was going to do, he had to act fast. The door to the building was open and he could see inside that the setting was far different than the one outside. It would take more of an effort to get through without blasting all of the civilians to death and causing alarms to go off.

The Trianii adjusted the hood of his poncho so that his repeating blaster was more hidden.‌ It was hard to outright hide such a weapon but with the size of his shoulders and neck leading to his head, it would appear more as a backpack than a weapon. Taking his first steps into the foyer he had to duck a bit before the room opened up. There were display cases lining the wall, likely some of them were duplicates and some were real. It would be difficult for Sinder to tell with an un-trained eye.

The security inside the building seemed only a hair more capable than the guards outside. Likely they were better shots and would be less likely to back down in the face of danger. He still only had moments to decide what to do. He approached the curator leading the group on their tour. He leaned in, getting the attention of the guards and the small man. “I believe someone just killed your mercenaries outside.‌ I saw them running down the alleyway toward the back of the building.”‌‌ His accent was thick and foreign, but the curator would be able to make out his words. Looking worried the man turned to his side and whispered something into his headset.

The guards touched their ears, receiving the message from the curator about the trouble. If his plan worked the guards would likely head outside and the curator would cancel his tour, leaving the Trianii alone with him and the room he needed to get to. If it didn’t work, then the guards would turn on Sinder and he’d have to resort to violence. Either way he was going to be one step closer to his objective and his payday.

The moment after the Guards touched their ears, they immediately took off outside. Leaving the Museum curator alone with a crowd of frankly terrified rich folks standing huddled in the hallway. What a convenient diversion. The Curator was alone, key-card in his hands and ready to be bodied by the big cat man. Outside, a few random blaster-shots were fired, presumably at an innocent person who happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Oops. Nevertheless, the short gangling Curator was all that stood between Sinder and his quarry of the Kyber Crystal.

The security guards fled to toward the streets, away from Sinder and away from his next checkpoint. In most situations, the guys with the guns leaving would mean the rest of the mission would be a lot easier. However, in this situation, Sinder needed complete and absolute solitude. The titan of a bounty hunter looked over the crowd of concerned citizens, most of them returning the look toward him. He could sense their fear in the Force, it was like a whimper in the back of his mind.

If he were to complete his mission without any civilian deaths and more importantly without any involvement from the local cartels, he would have to take this one step further. From the actions that played out, Sinder knew that the curator was the one with the ability to access the door, but he also knew that with that ability came the power to close other doors. The seven foot tall‌‌‌ Trianii made his way toward the scared curator now that he was seperated from the populace.

“I could kill you right here and now.”‌‌ His deep voice whispered, just quiet enough that the crowd likely couldn’t hear him. “We don’t want that.” His hot breath was on the man’s ear. “So you’re going to make them leave.”‌‌ Sinder extended one of his sharp claws toward the others. “Or you will die here.”‌‌ He then grazed the curator’s chin with the same claw.
