From the depths of hyperspace surged forth a single vessel into the orbit of Coruscant: the Heart of the Galactic Republic. T'was an unarmed, Interstellar Swoop; characterized by a solar sail that quickly retracted as the ship entered the upper atmosphere of the planet. There was no cause for alarm, nor excessive militant response, from the appearance of this vessel: for the IFFs it transmitted were from the Republic's southernmost neighbor and ally: the Confederacy of Independent Systems. As of late, numerous changes had occurred within the Southern-based government; namely a decision to breach their long-standing choice of neutrality to retaliate against the criminals who so boldly attempted to invade Republic space. The success of Barab I spoke volumes about the Confederacy's intentions for its relationship with the Republic, and as such this was a warranted visit.
For the terms of their alliance was in the need of an update.
To this end, the upper echelon of the Confederacy had dispatched one of their highest-ranking officials. Not only was he the commander of the Phantom Corps, but as of late he had assumed the mantle of Viceroy over the world known as Krant. This position allowed him the political standing enough to carry the wishes of his government upon his shoulders. He arrived at the spaceport, garbed from head to toe in his typical, beskar'gam, and disembarked with no incident. Straightway he was greeted by a delegation that had been sent in response to his landing, and they took it upon themselves to escort him to the designated meeting hall where the discussion would take place. The messenger, known as Isley Verd, had only been on the capital twice before; and whilst walking alongside the Republic soliers and politicians, he took a moment to marvel at the sights of the bustling city.
Before long, the group arrived before the towering doors of the designated hall and he was admitted within. He took a moment to get his bearings before rendering a polite inclination of his head to the dignitaries present. "On behalf of the Confederacy of Independent Systems, I thank you for agreeing to meet with me today." he began, before standing tall once more. "My name is Isley Verd, Viceroy of Krant, I have been sent in order to discuss the current status of the relationship between our two nations and to see if we can strengthen our friendship this day."
