Description: Knowing he'd be coming into conflict with Sith after joining the Galactic Alliance. Rayl knew he'd need more weapons to even the edge against the Knights and Masters of the Dark Side. Utilizing some of the Phrik metal he'd stockpiled seven years ago, Rayl forged a pair of blades capable of fighting a lightsaber. Though he has his own lightsaber, proficiency is lacking in it's use. So a good pair of blades suited the decades of combat use he's had with other swords.
The blades are dual edged Phrik forged rapiers. They can be used to slash an opponent, though the rapier style is made for piercing. A large dual cross guard for protection of the hand is included in the design. The hand guard and pommel are also Phrik. Giving a great deal of protection from saber wielding foes. The weight was kept down as much as possible, but still heavy enough to be useful. Combat style isn't meant to bash and batter foes like a broadsword. Rather control their attacks and make openings to strike.
