PRODUCTION INFORMATION
SPECIAL FEATURES

  • Each hat features a few warming crystal shards to provide extra warmth
Strengths:

  • Toasty: Not only is the nerf wool knit fairly warm, there are a few small shards of warming crystals included in the hat to give off even more warmth

  • Attractive design: A knit pattern that commemorates winter on Kashyyyk, complete with trees
Weaknesses:

  • Snags: The hat snags easily, due to the knit nature of the fabric. This may cause an unsightly appearance and may even lead to the hat unraveling.

  • Not armor: Though this hat provides exceptional warmth, it does not protect against anything else.
DESCRIPTION
The Silver Isle Hat pattern was originally devised by Ms. Martha of Balamak. A skilled knitter, she was able to create a warm hat that featured a simple winter scene. Once the pattern and prototype were completed, she handed the information to the Silver Jedi in order to have the hats created on a larger scale. She could only knit so many herself, after all.

Sent to a textile manufacturer on Randon, the factory was able to knit up Ms. Martha's pattern in a quantity that would allow for each member of the Order to receive a hat for Life Day – a tradition that started the year previous, with the creation of the Homely Holiday Sweater.

The hat was made in a silvery gray color with accents of snow white. There is a fluffy pom-pom on the top of each one. In addition to the special pattern, there are a few small shards of warming crystal knit securely into each hat to give the wearer extra warmth. The factory knit is fairly sturdy, however, it is still prone to snags, as such items often are. Care must be taken to ensure the longevity of the hat.
