Silence Is Golden

[member="Katar"]

Aboard his ship, The Hazard Beauty, Romeo awaited his new apprentice to come join him on the bridge. Some would say this was dangerous place for training, others would also would say the two were from two different spectrums, and probably the strangest duo ever. He was okay with that, though Romeo would admit that he knew very little about the woman know as Katar.

Katar walked slowly down the maze of corridors, her eyes wide with enchantment and fascination. She'd never been on a ship quite this big. Slaver ships were always dim, cramped, and dirty. But here everything was shiny and new-looking. It was also a bit cold. She rubbed her arms. Even a turtle neck and jeans couldn't hide the chill of space travel. Finally, she found the bridge. Immediately, she picked up the scent of polished glass, worn metal, and the slightly burnt smell of technology. She also smelled traces of perspiration. Most likely from someone on the other side of the door. Cautiously, Katar stepped forward. The door slid open to reveal a vast space with large viewing windows and countless computer panels. She did a quiet intake of breath. This place was strangely beautiful in its own way. Her green cat eyes skimmed the room, coming to rest on a single man standing in plain sight.

Romeo could sense the young lady, but didn't turn when she entered, instead he motioned his hand for her to continue in. At the moment he wore his usual robes, and mask. Nothing special about it. He began to speak in a soft, but cold tone.
"Please, come in." He was watching stars go by as the ship slowly sailed through space.
"I hope your stay here has been welcoming." He stated. It was a rhetorical question, and didn't need answering. He breathed out through his nose, and let it out through his mouth.
The darkness inside swirled around his through the force like a rain storm, and he didn't try to hide it.

Already, Katar felt uneasy about this man. She could practically feel the chill in his tone. She could also feel a... darkness coming from him. Her eyes narrowed with suspicion. This didn't feel right. She would have to be very cautious around this man. Slowly, she continued walking to him, her senses keeping her tensed and alert.

Romeo wasn't you're average Dark Jedi, he wasn't aggressive by no means. Romeo finally turned to look at her, and smiled under his mask. It was a bright smile, but she wouldn't be able to see it. Though his toned change to something more friendly. "I don't bite, I promise." He turned back to the viewpoint, enjoying the scene.
"When I was young...I was over ambitious, I never didn't trust anyone, I couldn't, and yet here I am...with people I consider friends. I hope one day I can count you among those people." He removed his mask, his jet black hair fell to his jaw line. His blood red eyes return their gaze back to her as she approached. He smiled again.
"Are you scared of me?" He asked her. [member="Katar"]

Katar stopped, keeping her a safe distance from him. When he turned, her muscles tensed and she got into a defensive stance. Her pupils were slits. Her claws were poised and ready should he make a move. Someone who could go from evil to kind this fast did not bode as the friendliest sort in Katar's book. She'd had too much experience to fall for the same trick twice. She took in his scent, trying to relocate the darkness from before. She assumed he was masking it, but she sniffed just in case.

Romeo chuckled at her movements, and clapped his hands. "Always the cautious type huh?" He tilted his head, and smirked. "Well...I mean you no harm young lady, but if you wish to test yourself against me," He took a step back removing his hand from his cape, showing he had no weapon drawn. "you may do so, but I promise you, you wont win. So...do you still want to come after me...or do I still seem like a threat?" He was amused by this person very much so. She had amazing instinct, and showed more than great potential, but amazing potential. This was indeed the person who he wanted to be under his wing. He put more trust in her, than she did him.
@Katar

Katar remained in her stance and eyed him up and down, looking for anything off about his attire should there be a weapon hidden on him. Seeing nothing, she slowly relaxed. She inched a bit closer to him, keeping her eyes locked on him. But he didn't appear to be looking for a fight of any kind. So, she decided to walk right up to him. She sniffed about his chest and neck, as she normally did when meeting someone. He smelled..... Hmmm...... Bittersweet. Well, that was a new one for her. She looked at him with big curious eyes, tilting her head slightly.

Romeo watched the young lady as she came up to him, and started to sniff him. Romeo found actually adorable from a outside point of view, but he didn't care for adorable things at the moment. When she tilted her head with her big wide eyes, Romeo followed suit. He too wished to know more what this person was, and capable of.
He slowly turned around back to his point view, looking in space. He noticed she was only still cold, and spoke up.
"Would you like my cape? It is quite warm, and you look cold. "
His offer was genuine as he hated being cold, and had sympathy for her. [member="Katar"]

Katar blinked, a bit of question in her gaze. She'd forgotten about the cold. But as the man brought it up, she felt a draft go right through her thin turtleneck shirt. She made a tiny, barely audible annoyed growl and rubbed her arms a bit. Wilderness cold was one thing. You can fight that with fire or leaves or movement. But space cold was really hard to ignore. It bugged her to no end that of everything she wore, nothing was keeping her warm enough. And.... Dammit, seriously, WHERE was that draft coming from?!

Romeo removed his cape, and laughed. "I take that as a yes?" He handed his cape to her, and considering Romeo was six foot, the cape was nearly five feet long and about eleven inches he didn't knew if it was too big for her. Well if that was the case she could just wrap up in it. The ability to control fire kept his body warm for the most part, thus the cape would be quite warm too. "Go ahead, take it. I'm fine. So...you don't talk? I'm going with either...you're a mute, or you don't trust easily. That's fine. I understand completely, least I would like to believe I do. Judging by how you act...I wouldn't say you're at all primal...not fully at least. The way you watch things, how you've watched me..." he paused. Romeo caught every little detail with his eyes. It was something he was good at.
"I would suggest...you were once a slave...or a servant." [member="Katar"]

Katar took the cape, wrapping it around her form. As he started making assumtions about her, it fascinated her that he was hitting each one nearly spot on. He must be a very observant individual. When he said the word slave, her eyes lost their energetic gleam for a moment. She shifted on her feet and looked down at the ground. She reached up to her neck and pulled away the the fabric of her shirt, letting him see the brandings there. She did the same with one of her arms. The designs decorated her skin like tattoos. But these scars couldn't be removed. Slave. How she despised the word, and all those who used it to exclaim their power. She clenched her jaw at this thought.

Romeo nodded his head at her in understanding. Romeo despised slaves, as much as he wanted to be king of a empire, slaves never were a option, all would have a choice to serve him. He wanted to earn that right to be a king as well. Romeo was indeed a darksider, but passion and compassion go hand and hand. Romeo removed his upper robe, and scars from knives, sabers, blasters, and grenades showed a story on his body.
"When I was traveling the galaxy I saved two slaves, even trained one of them for a while. I promise you one thing for a sure. As long as you are by my side, you will have choices. You will be a free woman." His eyes burned a deeper red as he thought about slavery. He truly hated it.

Katar looked at his scars. It appeared that they had a few things in common. She met him in the eyes. Giving him a short nod, she pointed to herself. "Katar," She said, her voice soft and sweet. It was the word she knew best, from practicing how to say it time and time again.

Romeo bowed before her, and rose slowly back up. "It is a pleasure to meet you." He was quite surprised she spoke. He then soon realized at first she was hostile when he was expressing his dark side attributes, and now that he wasn't trying she was fine with him think for a while. He could clearly feel the force in her, thought did she knew she had it? Did the woman even know what the force was?! He rubbed his chin in thought.
-How do I approach something like this to one such as her.-
He slowly walked over to the captain's chair, leaned forward bracing his arms against his knees.
"Katar...do you know what the force is?" [member="Katar"]

Katar thought for a moment. She'd heard a few people talk about the Force before. But she didn't quite get it completely. So, she shrugged.
[member="Romeo Sin"]

Katar stared at the flame on his finger, transfixed. It was so..... weird. How the heck was he doing that?! Absorbed in curiosity, She lifted his hand to see if there was anything underneath it to cause the flame. But there was nothing. She continued staring at the flame on his finger, her mouth parting slightly in wonder.

(OOC: 0__0 wth?! Who changed that word..I didn't do that <_< Shhh ill edit it)

"This is one of the many things the force can do." He chuckled at her cute ways, and closed his hand, putting the fire out. He then lifted his right up and pointed at his lightsaber with his left hand. With the force, he floated the lightsaber over to his right hand, slowly, then grabbed it. "The force is nexus Katar. It binds all things, touches everything alive." He spoke softly to her. [member="Katar"]

Katar's eyes got even wider as she watched the man's ligtsaber float into his hand. FLOAT. Into his hand! He talked about how the Force was intertwined with everything. She liked the way that sounded. It was pretty, in a sense. It reminded her of an ecosystem. She nodded, taking in what he was saying.
