STANDARD FEATURES

ADVANCED SYSTEMS

STRENGTHS

Swarm Attack: Due to the advanced OCC-SI module, Shredder squadrons can mount extremely coordinated and focused offensive runs on enemy vessels.
Agile Flyers: Highly mobile, fast and with a highly erratic flight path. These aren't easy to swat Y-Wings.

WEAKNESSES
Fragile: With no defenses, these are sacrificial pawns in the grand scheme of things.
No Hyperdrive: You leave one behind when you jump out of a system, it won’t be going anywhere soon.

DESCRIPTION

The Shredder-Class Droid Starfighter isn’t exactly the most complicated project to have arisen from KDY as of late. At first glance it appears to be just a weapon strapped to an engine, maybe even a guidance system thrown in just for good measure. And honestly… That’s not entirely inaccurate if you want the low down in the broadest of strokes. Of course, there’s also a cutting edge V.I. housed where you’d normally expect a cockpit to occupy. Top shelf, fully integrated with an onboard Offensive Combat Command Strategic Intelligence package, primed and ready to display a squadron cohesion that even the most skilled and vaunted flesh and blood equivalents would struggle to achieve.
Then there’s the weapon itself. Two, actually. Top and bottom ‘jaw’ mounted incinerator-class plasma railguns, designed to stack continuous damage upon a target with each and every successive pass the Shredder-Class droid makes. Times that again by twenty and you can see where it earned it’s design name. That said, the machine is the textbook example of the old ‘the only good defense is a strong offence’ Corellian idiom, lacking any real shields or armored plating. Instead it relies on being highly maneuverable and surprisingly nippy.
Well, that and it is a droid. You lose one, there’s always another fresh off the production line to take it’s place.
