Shopping and Drinking(Ice)

Lauren rested her laurels on in the booth, deposting her arms full of small bags in the spot next to her. She sighed in relief as she ordered some drink they had a special on. She needed to cool it, she had been running around stores all day and now she needed to relax. this was her vacation after all.It wasn't everyday one got to do that. While she had grown up being rather disrespectful, she had grown up a bit and well now she worked all the time since she had finished medical school. She was a doctor now, and in her free time she was studying to become more knowledgable. She had found that studying and working got her away from having to be all close and always with mom, dad, Zoeey and Sophia. So she did what Sophia did, and became her own person. A person who now was in her residency and almost a doctor. She had stated early thanks to her mom training her when she was ayounger, so she was almost on her way to becoming a full fledged doctor. Almost she thought as she took a sip of her drink. Almost....

Ice was walking through the wharf on Libertalia simply enjoying the station. Normally he was exceptionally busy. But today, he had decided to relax a little. Stepping into one of the many restaurants after smelling the delicious aromas, he gave a quick nod to the hostess who obviously recognized him immediately. All the workers here did as they were all droids, and programmed to recognize him. Though not that almost anyone knew that. The droids that dealt with people were HRD's to make them more acceptable to the public. "Good afternoon sir! Can we get a booth made ready for you today?"

"No thank you." He said cordially as he looked around. "Just walking around an--" He stopped when he caught sight of a beauty sitting by her lonesome in a booth. "Have her drinks be on the house. And next one on me as well."

"Of course sir." Came the quick response. A few moments later a serving droid deposited another drink on the table in front of her and let her know her visit there was on the house and courtesy of the person at the front. If she were to look up, he'd give her a friendly smile and then walked out. Though he certainly didn't walk far.

Lauren looked up for the person who bought her drinks, She smirked, he wasn't half bad looking at least, that was a change. Then he walked out. He had flirted with her then left the resturant! She didn't know how to react at first but then part of her took a swig of her drink, grabbed her bags and she just happened to walk quickly out the door. She looked around for him but didn't see him. So she sighed and made her way towards the hotel, after all at least she could rest there. She wished she had caught that man though. He perturbed her. She had never been hit on and then left. She wasn't sure how to feel on it either. It was just strange. She would have to thank him if she ever caught him again. She began lugging her many bags towards the hotel.

Lauren sighed she was after all on vacation, she needed to enjoy her self not hunt down a cute guy who bought her drinks. She needed to be more practical than that she though. Well at least she had a nice hotel room to look forward too.

He honestly wanted to go up to her and ask her name and all that normal stuff. But for some reason, he didn't. Maybe it was because she just didn't seem like the type that would be here alone. More than likely, had family or friends coming to meet her. And he didn't want to impose.

Ice wasn't very far away when he noticed her leaving the restaurant carrying a lot of bags. Now that was surprising. Maybe she really was here alone. Now he really wished he had gone in and said something than just walking away. Ice had his back turned toward her as he was originally casting a glance at something else farther down the way. He pulled up his datapad, and entered a few commands. When she got closer, he turned around and gave her a warm friendly smile. "Oh hey there! Good to see you again so soon." He said pleasantly.

"Well hello, so I do get the chance to thank you for buying my drink." She smiled and shifted so her bags were a bit more comfortable. " I was a little thrown though, usually guys don't buy you a drink and leave. Did I do something so horrible to drive you away?" She asked with a smile. Though beneath her she was shocked at how bold she was just. She was intrigued and well she just wanted to know what he was about. She shifted her packages again. Standing there holding bags of her many prizes of the day was not as easy as she had thought now that she was just standing there talking to a guy who perplexed her.

Lauren didn't often go on vacation, she didn't usually do anything besides bug her sisters. But now she was celebrating an end to finals and the start of her residency.

Ice smirked as she began to speak. "You're very welcome." He said with a simple nod. His smirk turned to a look of almost concern at her next comment though. "Oh god no. You didn't do anything wrong at all. Quite the opposite in fact. I just didn't think you'd be alone. I figured you were probably waiting for friends or family. I didn't want to impose, but at the same point...I uh...couldn't help but let you know you caught my eye." He finished with another warm smile.

Ice could hear what he had summoned was about to arrive, so he quickly continued. "Here. Please. Let me help you with your bags." He finished as a couple small speeders came hovering up to them. A droid hopped out of one and joined the second droid in the other speeder. "Thanks boys." Ice said casually. To which the droids nodded, and sped off in the other speeder just as quickly as they had arrived.

He then turned back to Lauren as if nothing out of the ordinary has happened with his hands outstretched. "May I?" He inquired, waiting to take her bags and deposit them onto the speeder that he had called for her.

Lauren smiled and handed him her bags. "Thank you so much, they were getting kind of heavy. I wish I had someone to come with but everyone in my family is busy, I decided to celebrate by myself my recent acceptance in a residency program. I am a doctor, I just finished medical school actually which is another reason I am celebrating. " She smiled, he was a gentleman, that was refreashing. She thought they like chivalry were dead.

"How did you get them here so fast? " She asked unable to not ask him. She was inquisitive and wanted to know. " I mean its not everyday, a man not only buys you a drink but then gets a speeder out of nowhere and carries your bags. " She smiled and then blushed a bit. " I am Lauren, by the way Lauren Walsh, sorry to be so rude as to not introduce myself. "

An eyebrow raised when she mentioned her scholastic achievements and what brought her here. "Wow! That's awesome. Congratulations!" He said genuinely. "And welcome to Libertalia then." He added with a small chuckle as he took her bags and placed them onto the speeder (Think like a star wars version of a small car...possibly like a golf cart even, but floating of course.) When she asked her next question, he chuckled again. "Well...I summoned them when I saw you leaving the restaurant." Ice replied as he held up his datapad to show how he did it. "They are located periodically throughout the station for ease of access." What she didn't know was that the only person who could remotely call for one as quickly as he, was the owner of the facility who had direct access to everything on the station. But that was a detail she didn't need to know. At least not now.

Ice smiled again as he noticed her blush slightly. "The name is Ice. It's a pleasure to meet you! So. Where were you headed? Would you mind if I gave you a ride?" While he waited for her reply, his mind also drifted back toward her reason for being here. He wondered if she might be interested in a position with the space station medical ward. He'd have to see her credentials of course. But it was an option potentially. He'd definitely be keeping it in mind.

"Well I was going to relax quietly in my room, cause I had no plans. " She smiled and nodded, his explanation made sense to her. " Thank you, and nice to meet you. I would love a ride if you really wouldn't mind also since you have my stuff" She said noting the speeder was full of her bags. " Unless this is the most charming robbery to date." Lauren giggled and looked at him hoping that he wasn't.

It wasn't everyday she met someone who made her laugh or who seemed to charm her so well. " What brings you to Libertalia? Surely you aren't just here to buy beautiful women drinks and speeders." She giggled again as she tried to acknowledge his moves were impressing her, enough she would even consider seeing him again. After all, you had to grab on to a man who was such a gentleman. They were few and far between.

[member="Ice"]

Ice laughed with her as he jumped in. "Awesome. Hop on! And naa. You're safe with me. Trust me. Have you seen the laws of this place? You'd have to be crazy to try anything like that here." As she climbed on, he thought about her question. He was not really one to brag. Nor did he find it healthy to do so when in his position. So his reply, although completely true, was ever so slightly deceptive. With a chuckle from her comment, he answered. "I work here actually. I'm a manager. Being able to buy you a drink and meet you, just happened to be an unexpected perk of the job." He finished with a wink.

"So! Which villas area you staying in? The Ice, Desert, Jungle, Forest, or Water biome? And what villas suite number?" He finished waiting to punch in the coordinates so they could be on their way. He also began wondering if there was anything she might like to do. He'd hate for this rather pleasant meeting to end so quickly after he dropped her off.

[member="Lauren Walsh"]

Lauren got in with a giggle and smiled at him as she sat near him. " I am in the water biome, suite 205. " She said as she looked at her keycard. "Wow.. you are a manager here, that sounds like it might be busy though, so much to do and keep track of. I was wondering since you seem to be in the know, if there were any fun shows or places to visit? I mean I have shopped till I dropped and just want to have a good time seeing something one doesn't get to see everyday. That is why I came here after all. " She smiled and looked at him wondering if he would have any suggestions.

Lauren wondered what he was the manager of exactly, the restaurant.. the street.. the station? She didn't know what one could manage here. She just took the ride though figuring at least she got that out of this. That and some drinks, which were nice. She would have to brave the many many fliers if he didn't have any suggestions. She had shopped first for a reason, she hated picking something to do like that, she had no idea what was any good.

Quickly punching in the coordinates, they were soon off toward where she had directed. "Oh man, there is tons of stuff to do here. Seems like we got something for just about everyone here. The Valhallan Casino has a stage that you can usually find some kind of show going. Be it a singer, a play, or such thing. Hmm. Actually the biome your villas is in is actually a full aquarium and water park. So you can tour the different aquariums or just have some fun in the water. The Shark Tank Cantina is the stations largest club. It boasts the biggest selection of alcohol in the galaxy!"

He paused for a moment to catch his breath and think. "If shooting is your thing, you can swing by Shooter's Ridge. Or if you are more of an outdoorsy person. Each of the biomes up top is designed for some amazing hikes and explorations. We have fishing, rock climbing, dune buggy riding, sunbathing, swimming, small time boating. You name it, we probably have it." He always enjoyed talking about his station. It was his pride and joy of all his projects thus far. And nothing made him more pleased than to see others enjoying it to the fullest.

"Oh! If you're in more of a relaxing mood. We also have the Celestial Beauty and Health Spa where you can get pretty much every type of message, facial, and beauty treatment you can think of. So really it's up to you. What are you in the mood for?" He asked with a sideways glance.

[member="Lauren Walsh"]

"Wow, you get really excited about this place, glad you like where you work. " I would love maybe a trip to the beach or the spa. " She smiled and looked at him curious what he would think about that. I would love some company, but I don't know anyone here." She said dropping the hint. She wanted to spend more time with the man before her. It wasn't every day you got to have a vacation fling. She needed it after all. She had shut herself into her dorm the entire time she was in university.

Lauren thought about it some more. " I think the beach sounds like a blast, I can rest and maybe swim. " She deteremined that was the best course of action. "Know a good beach?" She asked knowing she could wear the cute suit she had bought and relax in the sun. It would be heavenly.

[member="Ice"]

Well Ice would say to himself later that he sure didn't mind the way this was going. A cute little thing like her, and she seemed to want to go to the beach with him. A no brainer this one was. "Well allow me to be your escort then." He said playfully. "And I think I have just the place for you."

It was then that they were pulling up to her villas. "Tell you what. I'll help you with the bags, then I'll wait out here for you to change. Meanwhile, I'll get stuff moved around so I have the rest of Tue day free. That work for you darlin'?" It was almost funny how excited he was getting. She seemed to be quite the fun person to be around.

Depending on how everything went, he really was becoming more interested in trying to keep her around in the medical ward. It was a top rated facility after all. Then he'd get to see her more often as well. Win win as far as he could see.

[member="Lauren Walsh"]

Lauren smiled and went in carrying her bags and then changed into her bikini She put a cover up over it and smiled as she walked out in just her cover up and a bag full of beach essentials. " I hope I didn't keep you waiting too long?" She smiled looking over him. "Do we need to stop and get you beach stuff?" After all he couldn't go swimming in what he was wearing.

She was thankful he had helped carry the bags, and she had tried to hurry changing, but there was only so much hurrying one could do. Now that she was back out she wondered if all was well on his end.

[member="Ice"]

"Oh no not at all." He said happily taking in the view most eagerly. "And worth every second." Ice added genuinely. When she mentioned retrieving his stuff, he realized he hadn't quite thought this through. He contemplated just picking something up from the shop. But that would require a lie to pull off. One he wasn't willing to make. Especially since she didn't deserve it.

"Uh....ya. That's probably a good idea." He chuckled lightly as he started up the speeder. It didn't take them long, and they soon found themselves in a central turbolift. He pulled out a special key which opened the lift instantly once it was inserted. "After you." He said kindly. Once inside, he hit the top floor button, entered a 7 digit code, then placed his hand on a bio scanner. The whole process didn't take more than a couple seconds. Indicating this was something he was quite used to.

Pulling up his datapad, he checked one thing before finally hitting a small button with no markings in the corner of the turbolift keypad. "Sorry...the security here is a bit extreme I know." The lift moved speedily up to Ice's pent house suite. Like his office below, the lift opened up to a circular room with windows lining them all to allow for panoramic vistas of all 4 major biomes. While normal villas only ever took advantage of one biome at a time.

There was a balcony that went all the way around. And was only partitioned to keep the different atmospheric conditions of each biome separate. Comfy couches and chairs were spread through the room. A beautiful water feature lay in the center with a circular staircase around it leading upstairs to his bedroom.

On the fair side opposite the left was a large open air kitchen. "Please, make yourself at home." He again said casually like nothing was strange at all. "I'll be right back."

Lauren raised a brow at the security to the place but once there she was astounded, she had her mouth wide open as she looked around, going from balcony to balcony. Having been too slack jawed to respond to him before he left to his room. Lauren was in awe of the view. Then her mind started to process it all. She tried to figure out how a manager lived here. She looked around and tried to prepare what she would say.

Lauren was at a loss for word for the first time in her life. She really didn't know how to proceed. She waited till he got out and at least got one sentence out. "Manager huh?" She could at least say that, she didn't want to bombard him with useless questions, If he was this important, she could see why he had hid who he was but still this was a shocker. The place was amazing and well nicer than anything she had ever been to. So she looked at Ice, wondering what he would say to respond to her question.

Ice couldn't help but chuckle lightly as he descended the stairs to meet her. He was in simple dark brown board shorts with couple off white stripes going down the sides at a diagonal. A dark green beach towel draped around his neck. His lack of shirt revealed him to be a muscular and fit man. Not body builder status, but very toned with lightly tanned skin. "Of course." He replied simply while crossing the floor. At that moment, his dog R.I.C.O came bounding down the stairs to meet the visitor.

Once in front of her, he maintained his smile. "I manage this whole facility because....well, I own it. That's why I was making my rounds ensuring everything was up to par." Rico now interrupted him as the husky looking "dog" nuzzled Lauren playfully. All the while licking her hand in its attempt to steal her attention.

[member="Lauren Walsh"]

Lauren was going to say something but then suddenly she found a dog licking and stealing her attention. It suceeded and soon Lauren was rubbing the adorable dog over and playing with it. " ahh so cute!" She giggled getting on her knees so she was on it's level. "How are you boy?" She asked petting him realizing he seemed a bit off as if he wasn't a normal dog but none the less seemed a dog. "What's his name?" She asked with a smile looking at Ice, she loved animals.

"You own it? You mean I just happened to ... Well I understand... I just never thought someone who had so much would be interested in someone like me. I am just a doctor." She said petting the dog, now as he looked up from her crouched position. She rather liked the playful dog. It wasn't everyday she got 'attacked' by such a friendly fellow.

[member="Ice"]

The dog continued to nuzzle her playfully. It couldn't feel, but it had been expertly programmed to understand the intent behind the action. So it new Lauren was a friend, and treated her as one until directed otherwise by its master. Lauren would probably have noticed the lack of spit behind every lick. Although again, it was designed to mimic a dog. It still wasn't, so slobber, bad odors, and having to feed and care for other....bodily essentials was something that need never be worried about with these units.

"His name is Rico. Reconnaissance, Infiltration, and Covert Ops dog. I designed him myself. Well. I had the concept behind him. My engineers helped make him a reality. He's a good dog though. They did a good job. My team actually surprised me with him. I wasn't expecting one for myself." He smiled as he too knelt down to pet the droid.

When she asked about his choice to notice her and do something about it, he looked at her in almost a perplexed way. Even going so far as to tilt his head slightly trying to understand the question. "Credits don't determine the caliber of a person. In fact, it usually makes them a lesser choice. I don't care that you aren't rich. Just the same as I have noticed you didn't care if I was. Quality of character is worth more than all the credits in the galaxy." He paused for a moment and then laughed at himself. "I'm sorry. That was kind of deep for a first date thing."

He stopped right there, almost cringing at his own words. He hoped he hadn't thrown her off to much by calling this a date. It technically was just a couple people hanging out after all. Still, in an attempt to recover, he continued. "Anyway! We about ready to go?"
