- Force Boost:
- Bota, the primary ingredient of Shiva is unique in the galaxy in so far as it is a drug that can boost a user’s force abilities.
- Pain Blocking:
- Kouhunin, another ingredient of Shiva is a neurotoxin able to block significant amounts of pain when it enters the bloodstream. The effects of the Kouhunin are further enhanced by a standard Painkiller, when injected with Shiva the patient will be able to shrug off and ignore pain that would normally be crippling.
- The Rise:
- Being able to ignore pain, while helpful, isn’t the only advantage needed in a fight. You need to be able to be better, out-think and outlast your opponent, to that end a cocktail of stimulants was added to the mixture providing the user with an adrenaline and stimulant boost when they need it the most.
- Toxic:
- Designed as a stimulant for Force Users, Shiva provides a powerful boost when needed, at the cost of a mixture of neurotoxins and drugs pushed to the limit of what a body could handle.
- Short Duration:
- While capable of providing a powerful boost Siva’s advantages only last for a short time, while the drug is active. However, once it enters an organic body the drug starts to break down rapidly,
- The Fall:
- The drug can give the user a massive boost, but after it fade the crash that follows it is just as huge. Symptoms can range from headaches and nausea and to a fever and even unconsciousness. Overuse of the drug can lead to long-term effect upto and including death.
The force, that quasi-magical field of energy filled the galaxy gave the Jedi and the Sith the power to alter the world around them, to defy the very laws of physics and the natural world. With a mere thought they could float through the air, could alter the weather and reshape the world around them. A single thought could boost their strength, their speed and the capabilities of their body far beyond the norm.
Yet, for all that power, sometimes that wasn’t enough. Sometimes they needed just a little bit more power, just a little bit more capability.
It was for those moments that Shiva was created.
The research was started as a way to help the force users when confronted with odds didn’t favour them, when dealing with the monsters that the force created. Any sword is a two sided weapon though, and Shiva is as likely to create monsters as it is to kill them.
