Rationale: After retiring from the Republic Defense Forces and returning to his roots, smuggling, Orick realized that there was a niche in the market for custom ship refit and ship repair. With the large amount of privately owned ships and the sheer amount of smugglers and privateers in the galaxy, Orick saw an opportunity to invest his earnings into a company that would allow him the freedom to help his fellow smugglers, while providing him with a legitimate front for his smuggling operations.

Description: Ship-fil-a was started with a few credits, an empty warehouse and small army of repair droids. Orick found the empty warehouse while wandering the streets of Nar Shaddaa one night and he saw the perfect opportunity to work on ships in his spare time, while giving him a large space to store illicit goods and smuggled wares. With a few smart purchases of repair droids and a small staff of technicians, he opened Ship-fil-a . with the overwhelming amount of ships already flying throughout the galaxy, Orick realized that the need for new ships isn't as important as it is to keep the remaining ships flying. With a warehouse capable of fitting a ship of frigate size (up to 350 meters), Orick and his staff can accommodate almost every private ship in operation. Being a refit and repair company, Orick doesn't make any actual components or systems, which allows him to focus on just repair and refit work. The small workshop on the premises is designed solely to shape and repair armor and framework of existing ships.
