CONTENTS

  Heart of the Forest. The shards are capable of unleash plant surge around the wielder. This is an uncontrolled event and varies in intensity. The strongest surge will render the amulet inert permanently but has the potential of growing a small forest around itself. The weakest charge can bolster the growth of sapling, causing them to grow and cause damage as its roots force their way through.
• 
  Skin of the Forest. Using a Shard comes at a cost for the wielder. When using the strongest surge the amulet forcibly reshapes a single limb of the wielder into that of plant. An arm may become a tree trunk, hair might become leaves, eye bark and so forth. The weakest surge could shape a single finger for instance.
• 
  Song of the Forest. Those that wear the amulet become more in tune with nature. They can grasp meaning from the trees, the wildlife around them. This is not complete recognition, there won't be a true conversation. But the wielder will have a better idea what is happening around them, the beat of the jungle, where to find the clearest river and the most tasteful root, things like that.

Strengths:

• Plant-Surge: The Shards of Ossus contain a part of Ossus' darkened forest within it. It can unleash Plant-Surge around itself when the wielder triggers the power inside. The strongest surge has the potential of shaping a true (if small) forest around the wielder, whereas the smallest surge can bolster the growth of saplings and seeds around it, causing roots to grow and damage all around it.
• Song: Those that wield the amulet will have a better understanding of nature around them. They will be able to find a clear river in the wilderness, where mushrooms grow, how to survive in the wild.

Weaknesses:

• Skin: Those that use the amulet will slowly become one with the forest in a very literal sense. There is no way around it, no trick or ploy. Shape the forest around you and the forest shapes you in turn.
• ...of the dark: Nature knows no mercy and the Shards of Ossus are no different. Those that hold the artifact will find themselves more disposed towards silent rage- especially if they see the forests in pain, the rise of civilization, cities of steel and metal, they sympathize with what was lost.
• Force-Null: Anything from an Ysalamir to voidstone will either neutralize the artifact or weaken it.
• ...of the light: Similarly the Lightside of the Force can turn the artifact inert and useless.

DESCRIPTION
At Ossus the Sith Empire met the Galactic Alliance in battle.

One amidst the Sith was Coniferous and with him Vessa. They simply wished to explore the forests, the Great Library, but they were met with fire (literal fire, it hurt!) and nature's wrath was awakened. Coniferous and Vessa fought and killed and massacred, showing that the forest had no mercy even if it lacked cruelty. By the end only the Sith remained, Coniferous in their middle as he drew their strength of the Darkside into him.

He used it.

Shaped it.

From him and his human came a song that made the forest grow. Little by little the dark trees grew in number, their roots digging deep and ruining the last remnants of the Jedi. Amidst them was an artifact- the Spirit of Ossus. A powerful artifact of the wild, that could bolster the corruption of the jungles by its mere presence.

The Sith Empire found it and one green-skinned alchemist got her nails into it.

Utilizing her resources within Akure Executive Interstellar she derived a smaller artifact. She called them Shards of Ossus, spreading them amidst the Sith that shed blood on Ossus as her... reward. But as always, when Cerbera was involved, the power she granted came at a prize for the wielder.

This one... well, Coniferous approved of it greatly.
