A song for a couple of friends who were both long gone, but their spirits, tales and memories remained.
Leaving the ship behind to explore a swamp hadn’t been his first choice. Mimbam wasn’t a holiday spot. Speaking to the locals about crystals, something in his past he’d hoped to forget, only got him old wives tales. Nothing but legends here, this might be one more wild goose chase. What else could he do? He couldn’t just let a friend fade away to nothing. He thought if anywhere the people on Mimban might have some small insight he lacked into rare crystal formations, and had spent the last week going to local sages or experts.

So here he was sitting at a swampy bar in the middle of nowhere trying to get one more story out of the bartender about crystals, an old Lorrdian by the name of Maxxon. Kei wasn't alone though. At the table opposite the bar, an old cage with a wizen face by the name of Zacka sat, wearing a very fine large leather hat and trenchcoat it had to be said. His bald human companion patches who was as big as a table and as quiet as a mouse sat stuffing his face also, Patches had put on a lot of weight himself after becoming a family man with all that home-cooked food. Who have thought they’d all make good after all they’d been through. Even Elara’s sister was doing better. Everyone was on Corellian whiskey, which is about all the crew ever drunk together.

The rest of his family were no doubt enjoying some free space on the ship, as most of the crew were here. Being a family man was beautifully hard, he loved every moment of it. It might be a surprise to see Mathayus Amadis had snuck out with his father but the young lad was well looked after on Patches lap. Even if he kept pawing at anything that was nearby, keeping the Amadis younglings caged up was a futile effort.

Dressed in standard a brown jacket, black t-shirt and jeans, there was armorweave underneath but it wasn't displayed, and family hololocket lay around his neck. Kei turned his head looking about, it was a smokey and cozy enough bar, just like how he liked them. The crowds weren’t too big and you could hear yourself speak. The scents being smoked were not harsh even if the liquor was, and the Mimbam lady with the large eyes on the stage had the voice of an angel. His kind of place. Sadly he was getting nowhere with another dead-end lead.

“How much for a location?” Kei asked directly. Other Jedi would have waved their hand for the information, Kei didn’t, he liked showing people more respect than that. The rotund bartender seemed to be ready to haggle, pulling up his britches and leaning over the bar. “Well.. depends on the crystal, I got all kinds’a tales to tell.”
